Does anyone know where a guy could find fiska jigs or similar tungten jigs in Ontario? I really don't want to buy $15 worth of tackle and spend $30 getting it up here from the states.

I think Kingsway sports in guelph had some tungsten jigs for panfish.

Whats the benefit of tungsten?
Bass haven in Mitchells bay has a good selection of tungsten jigs
Heavy so they can be small but sink really fast. Great for fishing perch in 35+feet of water with a small jig. The non-toxic feature is a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

Bass pro has good selection of Clam tungsten jigs
Oh no Kiggy! I never get out of there for less than $300. Now I have a reason to take a QUICK look. LOL.

Unless you find fiskas or bentley jigs at your tackle shops, forget the other brands.
I bought one from northland before and it broke before I caught a fish with it. Went with fiskas shortly afterwards and didn't look back. Costed me about 50 for 12 jigs (incl tax & shipping) which is just over 4 dollars per jig. - Tackle stores charge $3 (or more) + tax for the bad ones anyways.
There have been times where a jig that fell too quick spooked the fish though... :ashamed:
I am currently loving "The Drop" series from clam tackle...like the fiskas as well.

Pretty pricey but sweet little jigs...
I think the problem is that a lot of the local companies are using lead to attach a pre-formed tungsten head to the hook. For some reason it doesn't work well. While I believe the Finnish/Russian jigs are poured tungsten. I may be wrong, but I recall reading about it somewhere.
I tell you a secret. leave the credit card at car and walk with $50 cash to the store. ;)
BSP is overpriced. Sail has much better prices, but some gear you can get only at BSP
Brett_68, that what I was talking about. very good little jigs.
If I recall correctly the cost about $4 each, same price or less as most lures.
