The Jack Miner Wildlife weekend is also a go this year from April 11-13. Once again, they will be holing the Canadian qualifier for the world duck calling championship and have Master, Team, Novice and youth calling categories for both duck and goose.
I will not enroll in this because it would be unfair as I would win............................................... .. You'd all be laughing so hard after me that no one else could call:)
Are you sure on the Miner event? I havnt seen or heard of it yet..
It is a great event but to many americans cross over to compete in it for my liking...
Im pretty sure the Canadian Qualifier for the worlds is held in N.B?
Glad to see there is interest in the Ontario calling circuit or in waterfowling festivals period. I hope this event does well and prompts future events all over the province
Jay,I'm positive that the event is being held and it is a qualifier for the world duck calling championship.
Super Nova, I'm not sure about vendors but I know what you mean about the shortage of them. I was down with Canadian Waterfowl Supplies last year and we were told many more vendors would be there next year.
Where is Greenville?
Matt
Unfortunately, I don't think it will be just Canadians being scored in all categories Jay. A lot of Americans do come up but obviously you will have to be Canadian to be in the Canadian duck calling qualifier. Pat just posted up the Info that he received a few day ago about the Jack Miner event-See Jack Miner thread.

So, Grenville then, not Greenville?
Matt
that would be correctQuote:

Thanks guys, that's not too far away from me, I'll have to try to check it out.

I don't get it dude. I read your posts that you want to promote calling contests, but then you post that too many Americans come for your liking ? The more callers the better , the more competition, the better the callers are going to get. I'd rather see an American win it that has practiced his off then a Canadian that dusted his calls off the morning before the contest (and vice versa). You cant qualify for the Canadian championship unless you are a Canadian , just like any state competition, unless its a qualifier like the mason Dixon which anyone can compete at to get there shot at the worlds in Arkansas.
I cant attend this due to work, but I do hope that it goes well, and theres lots of interest. I called in this contest awhile ago when they had it. Good luck to the organizers
