Nice fish
thats hilarious i was thinking that too lol, so many people dont have a clue or dont even check the regs regularly! i dont keep anything over 20" usually there not the ones you half to worry about gorge eating anyway plus up here the bass are usually wormy but a few deep cold lakes i fish have some good eaters.
I haven't kept a smallmouth in 20 years, I guess I forgot how good they tasted deep fried in a batter mix. Nice fish enjoy them!
Nice hogs!
Monsters. Congrats.
I have nothin against eating a smallie, but I don't think I'd go over 14".
How big was that pike?
12" to 14" for me to eat. Anything larger goes back. Did you know that for every ounce of weight over 3 pounds that a bass weighs, it will lay an additional 1,000 eggs.
Great looking fish,congrats.
Nice smallies! Can't wait for our opener here.
Nice fish. Not sure I'd eat a big female at this time of year (or any for that matter).
Catch the pike without a leader or the bass with one?
I would rather see people eating 4lb Smallies than harvesting Walleye currently. Bass populations are doing well and not only are they a blast to catch they are delicious smoked stuffed in mushroom caps with cheese.
