just found a great new way to find lost arrows

tonight I found a great new (to me anyways) on how to recover lost arrows, while searching for something in my basement and not being able to find an actual flashlight I grabbed my uv flashlight which is used for curing clear cure goo for fly fishing I noticed my nocks and fletchings glow in the dark when hit with the uv light. so I headed out to were I practise a lot and had missed a crow earlier this evening and lost my arrow with it. when I got about 15 yards away from where I last seen it I caught the fletchings and nock glowing off to my left and about 10-15 yards away from where I thought my arrow had landed. all I was doing was using a sweeping motion side to side towards the grass as I walked, also found some arrows I thought were gone to the grass monster on the way back to the truck haha. pretty sure you can pick up just the uv flashlight from bass pro or a fly shop for around 20 bucks. just wanted to share something I stumbled upon tonight

Brilliant discovery.....my kids lose my arrows in the hay feild all the time....this may help me recover some.

I fact, I think my old blood tracking light is UV and I could use that.....

mikepal my uv light shines a bluish light. not sure if that will make a difference but I wouldn't think it would, haha turkey rookie that's a good idea but I don't think itd sell to well and may have some legal issues with being so close in design. just figured id pass along my find and try to help others

very cool. My lab finds them for me....with my scent on the shafts! As soon as she realized I was searching for them, she would put her paw on them....now thinks its fun.

Great tip, will give it a try, wonder if its the type of nock and fletching you use or if this would be universal?

im using blazer vanes and found the more transparent nocks lit up brighter then solid ones but the solid ones still lit up pretty good
