Why do you need 3.5?
If you want a pump its a great shotgun.
I also had the same pump shotgun questions last year. I ended up going with the Winchester SXP. Extremely happy with it. Have a few hundred rounds through it without an issue. Check it out.
A buddy of mine uses one and likes it, but I"m an 870 guy myself :)

Bennelli is good but I prefer Browning BPS, and 31/2 in. shells are over rated not worth the money, they give ya a kick in the wallet and shoulder
From all the data 3.5 inch shells do offer a substantial improvement over the 3 in offerings but yes they do cost and kick a little more. To the OP great gun and you will be happy with it.Quote:

Awesome gun, never had a single issue with mine, love it.
the super nova is a good choice over the standard nova if using 3.5" shells. the standard kicks like a fricken mule with 3.5" turkey loads.
Well made gun and they function fine but they're quite heavy and handle like a fence post. Not really a issue for a waterfowl or turkey gun but not a gun I'd want to carry in the uplands.
I have a Bennelli Vinci 3in auto, just a joy for ducks. The quality of Bennelli firearms is second to none.

Picked mine up today at the gun shop in Basha. After pricing the 3 1/2 " fast steel, I think I will be sticking to the Remington 3" #2. Wow those 3 1/2 are expensive.
i should mention how easy it was to buy the gun. A quick glance at my PAL and slide in the Visa. No books written in and no ledgers to fill out. Then walk across the street with a case of shells and the open Camo gun. God, I love Alberta.
I love my supernova. A lot of people say they kick like a mule but if you shooting 3 1/2 anything will. Trust me you don't even notice it when you have the game in your sights. Go try some out pull them up to your shoulder and see what one feels the best. That's what I did and I knew as soon as I pulled supernova up I knew it was coming home. They will eat any shell you throw in it and the mag cut off on the forearm is pretty good feature to. Easy to break down if you have to in the field. You won't have no regrets.
I love my supernova, best pump I've used. I put a kicks highflyer MOD on it and it shoots like a dream. I find with the kicks ported choke, it cuts the felt recoil down quite a bit. I've used the 870 and BPS and found the supernova to be a better handling gun in my hands. Great buy!
