Hey All,

An industry expert and blogger has pitted the Hunting Annual covers of Ontario OUT OF DOORS and Outdoor Canada. Have look and cast your vote...and by that I mean I hope you will vote for OOD and show them that Canada's best read outdoor magazine knows best :)

Same here, it makes much more sense to display multi games for the annual hunting edition and I have seen enough "Big buck" on covers.

Voted OOD

I agree with the posts above. The Outdoor Canada cover is very typical, plus all the writing makes it look messy. What's with the white background? Hunting is not just about big bucks.

Went with OC. I am primarily a deer hunter and and all the writing gives me specifics on the contents.
The cover is flashy and would grab my attention. That being said it is ood that i subscribe to but not based on cover appeal.

Im biased but for me there's clear winner.

The OC is a pic of a big Buck and seems cluttered. Would be a great Oct cover pic.
The OOD is clean and features a handful different images, from Bow hunting, waterfowl, Upland and Big game.

These are the hunting annuals.

Well...as long as you subscribe to OOD, THAT's what matters :)

Have to go with OOD. This time of year it is more relevant than just a picture of a buck.

Well said and I agree sir. If a picture is worth a thousand words the OOD cover says more about who we are as hunters and outdoorsmen.

My choice is OOD too.

OOD, picture collage works well to convey the message, and does it cleanly. OC is too busy for me, I feel like I've read a magazine just perusing the cover.
Current tally is at OOD-55%, OC-45%.

I voted for OOD because I'm a sucker for beautiful photography,especially in a collage like that.

I have to say that the cover on this years annual was not as good as the ones in the past....I actully didn't like it when it arrived in the mail.

However...I really don't like the 'Big Rack' pictures that adorn every hunting mag this time of the year so by default, I like the OOD one better.

I vote for whomever JBEN says, because HE is the best evaluator. His pics rule.

Went with OOD. Like others have stated a hunting annual should cover everything, not just deer
