It will probably be alright for a while yet, but I would take the 5 minutes to replace it.
Yep, you want it to break as you draw back on a deer ? I just replaced mine a few weeks back.
how do you replace? Does it need to be brought to a shop? Or can it be done at home? I just started compound hunting last year so I am a "newbie" at this.. thanks

had a similar problem. brought it to the bowshop and was done in 5 minutes. better safe than sorry
thanks for the video link. After viewing it, I will bring it to a bow shop! I seem to screw things up.. not the handiest person... with something like that, I'd rather let a pro do it!!! :)
Get yourself some bow wax if you don't already have it, to help keep strings and cables in good condition.
Wax your d loop. Makes them good n rigid. Easy to get a release on without taking your eyes off what your about to draw on
