Straight after work tomorrow. Haven't been this excited for deer season since last deer season.
U gotta love it..probably be up all nite..lol
Probably going to be on the camera hope to get my brothers first deer on video. Still just as excited to get out!

My gear has been packed for the last two days , Just have to make a lunch.
Sunrise 7:28 am, I'll be there at 6;30 am in the blind having my morning coffee .
Got to do some more practicing shooting the Matrix . All sighted in for 30 yards last week but have to do it again today for reassurance.

Will be going but will hunt Michigan for the opener this year. My WMU is 92B & I got turned down for the Archery draw. First time in 10 years I have a buck only tag in Ontario.
I am a meat hunter so off to Michigan I go because they have additional doe tags. I will save my one & only buck tag for the rut in Ontario.
I don't have any great spots, but I'll go anyway even though I'm holding out for a buck. If nothing else, I'll consider it "in-season" scouting. Love the early morning anyways.
I hope to be out on the 2nd. Looking forward to it ... hope to get my first archery kill this year.
I will be out over looking a potato field on a well worn path that runs along the top of a gully .it is a great spot for early mornings as the deer leave the fields to go bed in the gullys .Dutch

I think it's too warm still. I'd hate to harvest something when it's 24c
waitimg til it s.drops below 15 consistently. Deer will move more too.

Son and I head out for a week on Saturday, have been looking forward to this trip since the spring when it was conceived, bow hunting for deer, perhaps a partridge stew, some time on the water wetting a line. Sanity may return yet. Good luck to everyone heading out and stay safe.
I'll be out in am only. Going to the local ducks unlimited dinner at night with a friend. Will be sitting a gully bottom stand outside a bedding area. Have good trail cam pics to justify the decision
Driving up on Fri night to be out on the stand Sat morning.
Very excited, lots of deer in the area and improved stand placement from last year. Very good feeling about it.
The only thing that will keep me out of that stand is wind form the West to South/West......

I'm hoping to get out in the morning for opening day , not sure if I will be heading out by myself to one of my properties or if I will will be heading out with a friend to our spot we hunted last year. Either way I hope to get out for opening day :)

In the stand right now no deer but squirrels are entertaining blue Jays are loud still to early and warm but it's easier to take the buck (Moose is his nickname) that's been on the trail camera here in the stand than in the house or office. Hopefully someone will chime in with a successful arrow placement layer today! My son (11yrs) will be joining me in the stand for the 1st time ever after school. Good luck everyone
