Nice to see they are selling my Keith Nose ..I just went thru 3 packs in the past two days :)
Hey Mike, what gun/ barrel twist are u shooting the K nose out of ?
My Traditions Pursuit is a 1:28 ...so I shoot the .45 UL1 Keith Nose, 360 gr from the chart at the link;
http://www.prbullet.com/chart.htm
Those specific HP's aren't on sale so I'll pick up the 330 gr from the sale at the on-line store...good for plinking at $11 a pkg. :)
I pick up the Xtreme elites for some fun at $8/$9 a pck, I'm gonna grab some of those K nose tho, but I have to try em nxt yr on the deer
Both my ML stands are set to range about 75 yds, the last 3 deer I've shot with the Keith Nosed were under 30 yrds shots, the deer have never taken a single step after being hit and I have been able to recover the bullet in the hide.
If I was to shoot across an open field ( 100+ yds) I would switch to the Xtreme Elites or Dead Centers. I have both and they're fabulous
What ML are you using bdog and what ranges do you expect to be shooting ?
I'm shooting a Triumph 90gr(vol), BH209, 100-130 yrds tops, I have the DC's 260gr, XE's 260gr and QT's 250gr from PR, they all been working good, only shot once at just over 100yrds with the DC's deer went about 30yrds n dropped, both lungs and the bullet was just under the hide on the opposite side, most shots are 40-75 yrds with short recovery with all of the above
I ordered x4 12 packs of the Keith Nose HPs 330 gr at $7.66 each (sale price)...with shipping plus taxes came out to $46 or $0.95 a bullet.
Sure is getting expensive to play on the range....I figure Wed alone I spent close to $25 on powder, bullets and primers; money well spent as they say :)
Mike, I dropped just over $200 with PR just on bullets(18pcks) got some of K nose 330hp to try out
You'll have to start watching for road kill....I heard it was the best way to test the ballistic properties...:shy: ..LOL...
Good idea.... I work animal control down here and the one town has us pick up road kill
