Hey guys any thoughts on hunting deer in this weather? Thinking about going out this afternoon
Heated gitch and socks!
find a spot close to thick bush or standing corn too
The deer will likely be hunkered down in the cedars. It might be a little iffy sitting in a tree stand in this wind!
If I didnt have meat in freezer I would be out at some time . They are hunkered in the evergreens as stated by Mathews .

When scouting or trying to pattern them, don't be afraid to move with the deer. A portable ladder stand works wonders this time of year..
This weather definitely isn't favourable for us to hunt and bad weather certainly makes the deer hold-up and hunker down. Bucks tend to feed before the new front moves in and does need to feed every 3-4 hours, roughly. Even still, when the weather is just plain crappy, deer will feed fairly heavily after the storm. Humans act similar; when we know the beer store or LCBO will be closed, we grab booze. When the banks close for holidays, we draw daily wages or do some banking. When grocery stores close, we buy groceries.
If the wind was lighter, today would've been a great day for any hunt, really.
If you did venture out, hope it was a great day for you!

cany get em at home. Got mine this morn in the wind and snow. If you got pine or spruces, near, go there.
apologies, mine wasnt bow, still have that tag yet to fill. But still, if in heavy pines or spruce, you can get good arrow/bolt flight on windy days
Hunkered down would have been my thought too however I was mistaken. In all the blowing and snowing I was seeing deer out and about all over in the open today.
im heading out this afternoon, still haven't invested in a snow camo suit so this will be my first time out with my fall hunting gear... wish me luck....
I'm heading out for dusk hunt... Hope that the corn I set out is appetizing to them before legal hunt ends at 5:15
If I had any confidence about seeing anything I'd go out, but my 78A area hasn't shown any deer all year. :(
I may still go though just to get some fresh air and see what the snow says, as I've been housebound on "pee patrol" with a new pup brought home yesterday, lol.
