rcbs universal hand priming tool

ive had this tool for 2 years now and was using it last summer and it fell on me ,and broke the small primer feed where the tray fits on . so I never used it since I seen a post where a guy had rcbs stuff for awhile and he contacted them and there response was heres the part no charge . so I got typing this past weekend and sent an email to rcbs told them what happened . I got an email back on Monday to say heres the part no charge not even for shipping ,boy I was shocked but you cant beat that for customer service . my hat goes off too them thanks rcbs,has any one else got stuff from them that was used for awhile ???>>>>oilman

Nice to hear that they are good to deal with. I guess with such a competitive market place these big companies have set up a good customer service budget to keep their clients happy.

It's surprising how great these companies are to deal direct with problems like that. If you had gone to your local RCBS store it probably would have taken months and money to get what you needed. By the time the store deals with the supplier, who deals with the importer who deals with etc,, a small part with a replacement list price of $5 seems to get lost in the paperwork.
Meanwhile the parent company can just ship it and eat the $.90 it cost them to make the piece while gaining $100 in customer loyalty!

Horton, Moultrie and Mossberg have both sent me parts/pieces for stuff Free of charge. Mossberg was for the trigger safety system for an old 16 gage shotgun I had had got for free because it was missing....I was in instant customer for life :)

Service like that means something to me, I don't discount it.

I have the same tool and love it. In fact I used it just yesterday to prime some new 25-06 brass. We should always make a point if publicizing good service like this. We are always quick to complain about the opposite.

I broke linkage on my Lee press when it was about 15 years old. Part shipped for free. I had some problems with a stem and a stripped mount screw on a Marbles' Arms tang sight. TWO free of each. Great service.

I have always had great service from RCBS also. I wish all companies had their level of Customer service.

Yes RCBS stands behind their products , however , the tool shouldn't have broken (if not abused) . When mine broke and the selling dealer was too tardy to get me another-one I became a bit upset . I switched over to Lee (25 or 30 years ago) and never experienced any problems with their tool . As a matter of fact I got rid of all my RCBS tools (dies , Rockchucker etc.) . Nowadays I'm using Lee- , Lyman- and Hornady-products . --- After umpteen-thousand reloads they still look like new .

I lost the rod in my RCBS hand priming tool. Must have fell out. Called 4 stores and with such poor availability of loading equipment these days, none had it. Phoned RCBS and they shipped it for free. I expected to pay and offered to do so but the gal on the phone said no. The paperwork it came with less than a week later called it a warranty replacement. That's as good as it gets.
