I'm in town here for a day or two and wanted to pick up some .32 Winchester Special ammo. Canadian Tire and Harbour Sports are out of stock? Anywhere else to look?
I tried Wholesale Sports in Winnipeg too....no luck. And Cabela's doesn't have any according to their website. I have already ordered dies and bullets and I do have an ancient box of Dominions.....
BTW, the gun I bought is a 1953 Marlin 336A, 24-inch barrel. That ought to arrive in Monday's mail. Sweeet!
KC, Are you heading anywhere else in the Province? Or just in for a visit?

There is a place behind the husky in the loyd..it's off the east side of the lot.
herd back around xmas time that 32 special ammo is backordered, and not expecting any for anytime soon...
Found some in Manitoba; I will pick it up tomorrow. They have six boxes but one should do for me. Okay, maybe two, LOL!
I ordered dies and bullets, and the seller is including a hundred-odd cases and about 200 gas-checked cast bullets. I could have some fun coming my way.
For some reason, I think the 336A is an exceptioally cool lever rifle; this is my fifth one. I have two in .30-30, the .32 on the way, and I had, and sold, a ,30-30 Ackley Improved and a .35 Remington.

Here's my second 336A, a DL model with fancy wood. I used it to shoot my deer in....maybe 2009 or 2010.

Actually, Canadian Tire in Steinbach had 6 boxes; I bought two. But I was not within a thousand km of Lloyd on this trip. I flew in and out of Winnipeg and drove to Kenora.Quote:

I got my 336A in yesterday's mail. The wood and blueing are actually very good. Two small detractors were that someone filed the hammer spur shorter (possibly for scope clearance) and, as often happens, some complete idiot mounted a rear sling swivel stud right through the "Marlin Bullseye". Yeesh.
OTOH, I can replace the hammer if I feel the need (I don't) and I can get a new bullseye and move the swivel, which I will.
