Refreshing The Troops!

Now that the duck and goose fleet are fully replaced, I've moved my efforts over to the Turkey flock. Not quite finished, but waiting on a new product and shipment.

Got the first Dakota Decoy hen in today, with another to come, and just waiting on the stock arrival for the new Flocked Jake.

These decoys are extremely well made, excellent carving and color(s) / contrasts, my photo's don't do it any justice. Really nice store inside friction steak system, and wind walker base design gives it some movement without allowing it to swing a full 360.

Also got Pat at Canadian Waterfowl Supply to toss in some new Gobblestalker gear to mix up the sounds.

They look amazing. Now you have me thinking.........dammit.

Nice TR .. My old dekes look like shyte so its time for an upgrade for me as well.

I like the Dakota's, run them for all my deekes now, but DSD (Dave Smith Decoys) and the Avian's are extremely nice as well and worth checking all three out.

I have a few dsd. Jake, 2 upright hens, 1 breeder hen.

In the photo above the hens look very similar between dsd and Dakota

The Jake however, not sure if the dsd neck is a "red" without more shading.

What are the dakotas made from? The dsd are almost rubber like.

My favourite part of the dsd s are the paint. The bronze hues that come of the body in the light is unreal

The paint is very similar, brought them out in the sun and the color was just incredible.

They are made from an "EVA Blend Pastic"

They feel like a stiffer rubber, not collapsible but not solid plastic,

great looking decoys. im hoping to get a few some day

Sounds like the materials used are very similar.
