Walked for 3.5hrs, great exercise and weather. Was rewarded with a good size shed. Any guesses on how many points this shed could of been? The squirrels got at it and chewed it up a fair bit. Anyone have an idea of the age of the deer that this shed belonged to? Going out again on the weekend, tons of fun. Get out there boys......

Still lots of snow here. I'm hoping to get out on the weekend when the snow level has dropped a bit.
Nice find! Looks like a fair bit has been chewed off and that shed likely came from a 10-pointer, or 5 points on that particular antler. Age is hard to guess without seeing the deer or something for perspective but he was probably older than 2.5.
Beauty....did ye find in a field or tromping through the bush........last yr opening day of turkey I took my son out (8yr old) and we bagged a bird together (first together) and On the way wallking out right along the edge of a cut corn field I look down and found both sets of a nice large 10 pt jus tlaying there side by side out in the open....I was blown away not only to find both sides but right out in the open field.......needless to say one for the memory books and my son was estatic has the fan mounted in his room and the sheds on his dresser.
I was trumping through the bush and In this small opening l found this shed. I was blown away. I had walked hours looking alongside a fence and in all the typical areas they say to look and found this guy in an area that I wasn't expecting to see one. Just goes to show you expect the unexpected and keep your eyes paning in all directions. Good luck.
Looks to me like he broke it fighting. Squirrels wouldn't get it that fast plus it would be bright white where chewed on.

Nice find! There is still way too much snow in Norfolk County this week. By next week it shouldn't be too bad to get in the woods. TC
I tried to go out today... Snow was up to my knees.... lasted 20 mins and thought I would have a heart attack and die in the woods... couple more weeks lol
