Just found a dead Red Tailed Hawk next to the 401 and 404 area. What a shame. Looks to be in good shape. Let me know if you are interested in having it for a taxidermy mount. Don't have a camera available at the moment to post pics...

Have seen quite a few dead along our highways over the years. It is a shame.
This is not at the side of the highway. It's on private property a short distance from the highway. Wish I could get a pic...
Mountsberg Conservation area takes them, they a have a raptor centre.
Disappointed... The property management people "disposed" of it.
Oh well, I tried...

I would have taken it of you picked it up.
He said 'private property" it was not his to remove. Dare you to come on my, "private property" to pick something up. He was following the rules. Go to the management company and ask for it. AND he said he was 'disappointed'.

I am guessing he was waiting- trying, to find out if someone wanted it. He could then ask those who owned the property. , before removing it. He went by the rules. Why go to the trouble of asking, pick-up, if you did not know someone wanted it , if you did not.
