Looking for Land for Boy Scouts to plant trees

I didn't know where to posts this so I thought well most will see it if I place it in the hunting section. :)

Like the title says. I have been asked by my sons local boy Scout organization if I might know anyone who has some land that they would like planted with small trees as part of the Boy scouts Tree planting imitative. Over the years they have now planted the old garbage dump area near Russell and a few private fields but they are now having trouble finding new areas.

They are looking for Land in the Russell / Embrun areas but might also considered other areas near by.
If you have some fields you would like planted please contact me and I will put you in touch with the Area leader

What a deal! Wish you were closer. I just bought 50 more spruce to plant and after that many I am pooped tired. Hopefully someone takes advantage of this opportunity and makes a donation to the scouts for their efforts. Thumbs up greatwhite for posting it

I with I had some land to provide. I think this is a great idea. I live north of you, in Sarsfield. If I hear of anyone in the area who might be interested, I'll pass it along. Have you considered checking with the MNRF or http://www.treesontario.ca/ ?

Back in the 80s we always planted them on Conservation Authority Lands

Not sure why or if they checked out those. I was just told that they couldn't find any place. I did know one person but he just passed away 2 weekends ago.

Try TD bank, Tree Days. The do a few locations every year

Maybe try the local QDMA chapter in your area or even DU as they may know of some people that would be willing or in need of trees. I'm glad they still do this as it was always a fun day.
