Just looking for a permit to obtain some birds for dog training. Its been 2 months now and over 30 voice mails to various people at various offices and no replies from the MNR. I guess everybody is on a holiday or a very long lunch.

It is a joke. But what can you do? OMNR have no money to man the phones and everyone is part time at the OMNR. Only one you can blame is the premiere!!
FINALLY GOT A CALL BACK........ye haa. Guy said he would look into it. So I should get another reply in 2 months. Cant wait I'm marking my calendar. My dog will be about 5 years old by then. lol

I got my permit today by Purolator!!! talk about budget cuts :)
I phoned our local omnr in Dryden today and report a washout on a back road using my cell phone. Talked to a forester in 2 minutes. Barricade was up in less than 2 hours.
With that quick response on a safety issue where they might be deemed liable, it sure seems as though they pick and chose just what calls they return.
