Before anybody says anything about my spelling I meant long beard choke lol
I would be concerned about the pellet energy from a #6 lead shot at 55 yards - but yes, great pattern.
I was thinking that to but it Went through the plywood. 6's pattern way better for me. I usually use 5 try something new this year. I don't think I would take a shot till he got closer but have that confidence if I have to.Quote:

Hey ghost great post, just one question are you referring to the Winchester long beard tube made by Carlsons? It's a ported model...I also have an undertaker and want to upgrade.
also one other question what is your pattern at 15-20 yards? I've heard of it flying so tight it's easy to miss, can you comment?
Yes that is the tube I am using now. 15-20 yards it punches a golf ball size hole in the paper so it would be easy to miss.Quote:

I shot the 3.5 #5 out of my stoeger m3500 with the factory turkey choke and had 33 pellets in the head/neck at 60yards. Absolutely awesome, at 20 yards I don't think he would even have a head left.

About 7 yards. He prob would have sat on my lap. Just kept coming. Almost took his head off. He didn't even make a sound coming in.Quote:

I shot another bird this morning with #5 long beard at 40 yards .stone cold dead ,,rem 870 12 3inch shells .love this stuff ..I did miss a tom last year at 7 yards but thems the breaks Dutch

I got a Better pattern with 3" compared to 3.5". Supernova with carlsons long beard choke with 3" 6 shot long beard shell.
I use a Carlson choke in the 870 3 inch shells #5 shot ,,good to 60 yards ,,Dutch
