A little justice.


This is what happens to dog thieves in China.
Two men who were caught killing and stealing dogs in a Chinese village were subjected to a brutal nine hour beating before having the dead animals' bodies tied around their necks.
Incredibly the villagers then turned on police officers who had been sent to rescue the thieves attacking them with metal bars and smashing up their patrol car, People's Daily Online reported.

I am all for justice, but what if they (the crowd) make a mistake?

I guess as long as you're not caught trying to steal someone else's dog then you should be ok.

Collateral damage??? at least then future dog thieves would see what will happen to them .

People and animals for that matter will kill each other for food and survival and that will never change.

I think I'm pretty safe in guessing that more than 1/2 the worlds populations have a justice system that deals with thieves in a similar form of social (vigilante) justice. Who are we to condemn their culture. ?

I think in some countries vigilante justice is likely the only means of recourse, so they git'er done on their own.

Gives a whole new meaning to doggy bag. :)

If some scum bag dog stealing jack a $$ tried to steal my dog to sell it for meat I would want justice!!!!!

I had a dog stolen once. Never seen again. Other than having a child taken, I can't think of a worse thing to do to somebody. It still bothers me.

I think this story is more like "cattle rustling" than stealing pets.

and it not that long ago, in America's short history, that a cattle rustler would swing from a rope at the hands of the rancher.

This is a little different than cattle rustling, although they need to stop letting their pets run free.

Tugging on the heart strings of our Western sensibilities isn't going to change a culture steep in traditions...

Look what happened to the movement here to stop people from eating those poor "veal" calves...considered a delicacy by our culture and still sold in every grocery store across the country.
