I walked by that yesterday. Some lady was asking how they got a picture of the raccoon before it died. I'm surprised she knew how to get across the street to see it.
Completely the type of thing a bunch of my industry co-workers would do just for fun at lunchtime. I love the framed picture. That's the best part.
AT least no one attached a "Get well soon" balloon to the varmint!
uh, need one of those over-payed union jobs. no accountability, takes the media to get public services pick up a dead raccoon. sounds like they take their mission serious: "Toronto Animal Services promotes the health and safety of people, pets and animals living together in Toronto communities through bylaw enforcement and mobile response."
best of all, the guy did 'only' his job - not allowed to pick up the garbage people put there, because they didn't pick it up within a reasonable time (given the location).
Most cities its the Road Department who is responsible for picking up and disposing of road kill.
