They are voting in Mexico on whether or not to remove all the Donald trump flags.
Oh god. He ripped on john Glenn today for being a pow. You're right Dutch. This boy has a mouth on him.
You mean John McCain right?
Apologies. Yes. John mccain.
Best quote I heard all day was " Donald Trump is the Kanye West of politics "
Entertaining for sure..... wouldn't make a good president but sure would be entertaining to watch....
Has anyone noticed that the media is treating Trump the same way they treated Palin?
You're right Trimmer. I think he's getting off easy and should be treated worse than Palin.
But Trump is leading the Republican race in the polls. Surely it couldn't happen. !!!!
No.
It's totally different this time.
Palin was a media seeking intellectual pygmy.
She was a sm0kinh h0t M!LF who was dangerously close to power. But she was nothing without the Tea Party nut bars doing her thinking for her.
The media destroyed her as they properly should have.
Trump is media seeking.
His IQ is likely double that of Palin.
But IQ does not correlate to functional intelligence.
He is a nut bar conspiracy theorist.
Narcissist, delusional, dangerous, catastrophic--words can not describe what an awful person he would be as leader of America.
He is making a mockery of democracy.
And the complete opposite of Palin-- large groups of media are giving him a free ride.
Minor oversight but you forgot megalomaniac. Can't disagree with anything else Johny.
As far as conspiracy theories I'm thinking he's run out of money and is doing this as a stooge for the late night and political satire shows.
The reason he is so popular is he is saying what a lot of people want to hear - people are sick of the timid politicians who are afraid to speak the truth and are so tuned into the PC bull - and are just in office to get power and money and the heck with what is best for the country - personally I like what he is doing - he may not be presidential material but then he can't be any worse then Obama -
Our immigration policy is in shambles - we have laws but nobody is enforcing them and millions of illegals are coming into the country - and a lot of them are causing all kinds of trouble - but most politicians won't do or say anything because they may lose votes -
The US is sick and needs someone who isn't the same old dried in the wool politician - we need someone who will drastically change the course that this country in on - but truthfully I think it is already too late - too many dumbies
Come Fox - read what I wrote - it isn't immigrants per say - its the illegal ones - my parents were immigrants but you know something - they came here legally and had a sponsor so that they didn't get off the boat and apply for welfare - how would you like it if millions of people started coming to Canada without going through the proper procedure and then end up costing you all kinds of payments for support -
I don't know if you have been hearing about all the crime that is being committed by illegals - recently a girl was shot by one of these illegals who have several felonies on his record and had been deported 5 times - he kept coming back and nothing was done to keep him off the streets - and this is something that happens a lot - that is why where are congressional hearing going on right now to do something about this situation - instead of enforcing the law and stop the tide of illegals coming into this country Obama has encouraged it - what a bum -
We know only too well what that's like,JoePa. For decades,Liberal governments encouraged immigration from all of Asia with almost an open door policy....no questions asked. When the plane loads of people arrived at Pearson and Dorval, the first thing they were handed was a local Liberal MP's business card and told "If you have any problems, call us. We'll be glad to help you." Now,don't get me wrong, there really isn't anything wrong with that on the surface, but, they knew that folks being folks tend to "dance with them what brung ya" guaranteeing votes for many years. I know because I was there and saw it happen on more than one occassion. The majority demographic in Toronto and western suburbs are now Asian and solidly Liberal.
Well Joe, you are right on the money !!!! When the U.S. Sneezes, Canada catches the cold......our time is coming !!
I think Hillary Clinton must be smiling alot these days.
Funny you should mention Trump and Pailn, looks like you're not the only one to make that comparison lol
Starts on Trump around 1:10

I'm going to miss that guy- Jon , not Donald. :)
( Wouldn't Donald be great in sensitive negotiations? :silly:
Tell me about it, Stewart and Letterman down in one year, bad news... That was a funny clip though.
As for Trump, love to know his "end game", not sure he even does... He ran last election, but it was clearly a farse and for publicity, but this time it looks more real, it's cost him a lot of lost business contacts from his mouthing off... I'd love to know if this stuff is calculated he says or he's just a few marbles short of a sack, probably both. Anyhow with almost a year and half to the election, pretty sure we won't be talking about him in the future as republican nominee.
well well well looks like trump has a seat for the usa presidential elections debates ...his has been leading in the polls and this gives him a spot on the stage for the debates ,should be fun to watch ,,lol Dutch,,
Now that debate will be great entertainment. Don't be too quick to write Trump off. Remember, this is America. The land where Oprah can buy an election and they elect ex Wrestlers and movie stars as Governors. One of the most loved recent Presidents was getting some in the oval office with an intern. Anything can happen down there. Personally I think Trump would start a 3rd World War within a month. American politics is closer to Hollywood than common sense.
Actually because it's America, I agree I could see Trump winning... Boy is that a scary thought!
Both "real" front runners are pretty sad too, Bush and Clinton, again!, both are very deep and bought off by all the usual corporate interests... If that duo gets the nomination, very few are going to be happy about either down there... Hilary lacks Bills charm and is corrupt, and most people even republicans are still sick of George W Jr.'s legacy...
Speaking of the USA, here is a funny lad who clubbed someone to death with a hatchet, for a good cause, but not something you see on the news everyday;

As always. Actually the Shiny Pony took another body blow on Sunday when his star candidate ( Eve turncoat Adams) got whipped in the nomination vote. Again, Trudough shows poor judgement and a disconnect with his own party let alone the Canadian voters. Nice to see her crash & burn and Trudough getting some on him ..again.
Whether one agree's with the specifics of Joe PAs thoughts (its the illegals). I wonder if in fact it isn't more than that. The US is a powder keg on a slow burn and has been for years. Biggest difference I can see between today and say Ross Perot (1992)? Doesn't Trump seem more reminiscent of him than Palin?
Different times and the burn was just starting back then, more Americans today are just as unenamored/disenfranchised with the pendulum swinging too far left, and they are more "receptive" to him. Aka it wasn't the right time for Perot…Today, obviously many are listening to Trump.
Not so different than it took them many years to be ready or receptive of a black very liberal statesman/peace maker that many think makes for a good leader. And I admit, when elected I thought he might be good for the US in so much, that he might address some things. In hindsight, he has made things worse and there are 2 radical camps all over now be it racial tensions, or have/have nots, or Muslims and religion, or immigration or……
Blow back swings both ways.
****
An yep Rick that catch phrase usually applies to economics but does apply to more, and while we typically follow the US by a generation. Kind of comical people can't see the parallels here.
Think Mike Harris
or the reform/Alliance party and subsequently Harper and the cons.
Or Rob Ford and the backlash that saw him become very popular.
And the backlash thats building right here in Ontario, and even Patrick Brown.
funny that.
And isn't funny how in each case following years of Liberal rule (one exception was Harris following Rae and the damage he did).
In plain English Trump wouldn't exist, wouldn't have the steam he has if it wasn't the right time and there weren't reasons for it. Do note Im not suggesting I think it's time for him and do think it would be disastrous. But lets call spades spades. He's gaining steam because…..
Cause and effect
and if people can't see it coming in Ontario.
Not sure what to say, other than no one to blame but….
every government needs a good shake up now and then ,just makes you wonder what trumps end game is Dutch
He probably doesn't have one or know yet and is simply capitalizing on a ground swell of sentiment to feed his ego.
I've read "The Art of the Deal" cover to cover. I don't think I've ever seen someone as "business-astute" as Trump. He's an incredibly skilled negotiator, better than most and extremely intelligent. If he has one fatal downfall,it's that he doesn't seem to grasp the concept of "Tread lightly, but, carry a big stick",although,he has the Big Stick part down pat. Now,if he could just tone down the rhetoric and quiet down his stupid mouth......
one thing is for sure it is going to be a fun debate to watch ...wonder how long it will take him to get in trouble ,,,once on the stage ..lol ..thy will be watching every word that comes out of his yap that's for sure ,,,lolDutch
Don't write off Trump - it is going to depend a lot on what the other leading candidates do over the next several months - people in general are fed up with the same old politics - republicans were big winners in the last congressional elections but then what have they done so far - nothing - Trump is breaking away from that crowd and the people like it - but yes he will make things interesting -
But in general the US is dying from within and I wonder if it is too late already -
powder keg on a slow burn Joe.Quote:

If I had to bet, it will blow somehow. Question of when, not if.
That is the question.
My "guess". Racial tensions or the growing social unease.
"Funny" thing is, when it does will anyone care why? Nope, instead they will and we will be wondering (assuming we aren't busy staying alive).
Why didn't we do something to try and head it off before it got so bad. How did we get so fixated on the present and not have the foresight to look "down the road".
Same might be said here at home.
It doesn't take much to set off a riot in the big cities today - so imagine what will happen when an economic collapse happens and the government can't maintain the welfare state as certain people expect - it will be a battle between the haves and the havenots - an added factor with be the racial tensions - as the rioting and looting increases the haves will begin defending themselves and the shooting will begin - http://video.foxnews.com/v/438077845...#sp=show-clips - things will only get better after a strong leader with dictatorial powers establishes marshal law - when the smoke clears the US will no longer be a super power -
