One poll. Don't get too excited yet. Even if Harper were to squeak a minority through they will take him out with a coalition. Unless Mulcair gets caught getting friendly with a goat I think he's going to win. Hide your money and guns. The left is coming for them. The only positive thing is JT is done.
That they are.Quote:

To which one can only respond: Seriously, PSAC? No, seriously?
A recent survey by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business found federal public servants make an average of 13% more compared to their counterparts doing comparable jobs in the private sector, rising to 33.2% once factors such as hours of work, benefits and pensions are taken into account.
In fact, federal public servants do comparatively better than even their provincial and municipal counterparts, who all, in turn, do better than private sector workers.
The CFIB study found if all public servants in Canada — federal, provincial and municipal — were receiving the same wages, benefits and pensions as their counterparts in the private sector, the cost of government would be reduced by $20 billion annually.
Me?
When the stats and trends show the middle class shrinking, and as that side has gone down since the 60/70s, and coincidentally (??) the other side of the teeter totter (gov't) has gone up....
Regardless, once again we have Unions and special interest spending a lot of money to influence elections. Which, when you consider how much many of the same complain about US style politics which are mostly nothing but lobby groups and dogma.........
Not hard to figure out where we are headed.
http://rabble.ca/columnists/2015/04/...and-raises-himQuote:
On its first day at convention, PSAC adopted an emergency resolution authorizing $5 million spending from its reserve fund. The resolution spells out what needs to done: "elect a federal government that respects worker and union rights and federal public services, and that governs for the benefit of all Canadian workers."
so hard done by, aren't they?
I with you on this one Terry. Mulcair and Truidiot running the country together. That is a disaster waiting for a place to happen. If it does, it will be short term and we will be back to the poles... With the loony down and the oil in the west with the Ontario Liberal labour will be a Harper downfall.
Dick
Your worst nightmare is the hope of the rest of the country for safety, reasonable taxes, reduced debt and freedoms.
Mulcair and Truedope only offer higher taxes, higher regulations, more restrictions, firearms seizures or reclassifications, more restrictive laws. Trudope has lied about open nominations then added restrictions and is being sued by some candidates, admires dictatorships (just like his father, FLQ killed a man and boom martial law, dozens of arrests without charge... complete elimination of freedoms... and the Liberals think Pierre was a good leader.... he increased the debt almost 10X.... worst leader in Canadian history!), he thinks budgets balance themselves and that the victims of ISIS need coats. Mulcair wants to roll back tax cuts, firearm restricts etc. The two together would have Canada with a mega gov't (just like Justin's daddy) and run our debt up to a point the GDP/Debt would be comparable to Greece.
I guess Mao and Stalin and Castro have their supporters but I hope you look at the reality of Mulcair and Trudope's policies and promises someday.
Duhhhhh, really, glad you told me that.I can name most of the premiers and the party that is in power from coast to coast. So I am very much aware of the difference between federal and provincial politics. If you had actually read and understood the post,(which I am quite sure everyone else understood),you may have understood the comparison I was making.I initially lncluded the five major FEDERAL LEADERS. Then said "the bums ruining ONTARIO.Then, "SHE", meaning WYNEEDBAGS, being good at democracy, lmao off at that one.
Changing the green energy act so can ram solar and wind down municipalities throats, that didnt want them. Jambing the sex ed curriculum down our throats. O.R.R.P and on and on. And I fully understand that she has the mandate to do this,PROVINCIALLY,as Harper does FEDERALLY. So if you want to talk about underming CANADIAN DEMOCRACY, last I knew Ontario was still a part of Canada.Unless your one of the ones that believes a Liberal M.P. or M.P.P can never be wrong, or have their democratic values questioned.I do know and understand, democracy, federal and provincial politics.DO YOU??????

"Speak for yourself. That's my worst nightmare---to see Harper get back in and finish undermining the Canadian democratic system!! enough already, Throw the bums out!! "
Well let's see now. Harper campaigned on Senate reform and has been blocked by the Provinces all the way. He even went to the Supreme court to try and establish an "ELECTED" Senate but was blocked there. I guess trying to add voter accountability to the Senate is "undemocratic" in some people's minds? Trudough who campaigns of democratic reform is the worst leader for cooking riding nominations and parachuting candidates, again this is "democratic"? Wynne ( Yes we all know that's Provincial) is under police investigation for stealing $ Billions in the gas plant scandal to win seats. She is under police investigation for again breaking electoral laws in the Sudbury byelection for trying to bribe a candidate. The Federal Liberals have been in 3rd place in the house after being kicked to the curb for ADSCAM. Remember that pesky little misunderstanding where they laundered $$ Millions of stolen money to Liberal friendly firms who funneled it back to Liberal ridings as contributions for reelection? So, Harper is destroying Democracy? Please clarify what democracy means to Liberals? My guess is it will mean forming a coalition to subvert what the voters have decided.
This is good news but it could be short lived. The trending favors the NDP. Alot can happen before this fall's election. The Duffy trial is about to restart and that won't help. Still, the good news is Trudough has been trending down ever since he started talking. I think he's done and my guess is he will decide working for a living is best left to others and fade away.
Just a flavor of what Harper and his yes men are up to!! reeks of communist style propaganda----have at 'er, boys!!!

Wow, the CBC attacking Harper? Who would have ever thought.
I notice you don't have any credible responses to the Libranos record on democracy attacks and indiscretions ?
As for YES MEN, what do we call it when Trudough boots people out of the Liberal party who don't agree with his views on abortion? Are the left overs the yes men? What do we call the ones who got the boot?

+ one of the first non USA countries to speak out loudly about what Putin is trying to do in Ukraine and backed it up with help. Spoke loudly to me.
Geee an organization I have seen lie to help coverup Trudough's taking money from charities while a paid MP. That has been promised millions by the opposition and can only look forward to more cuts from the Conservatives to make them stand on their own two feet and quit outbiding private companies for things like the Olympics.... an organization gullible people believe without questioning... them lie..... our National broadcaster that gets $90,000,000 a month....lie????? .they have spent milllions to NOT disclose how they spend the money....sadly more and more lies ... only a really gullible person or a leftie would completely believe them any more.

I think an elected senate would be a huge step forward or just move to abolish it altogether in its current form. Justin Trudeau? Honestly folks, what in the h::l does he even know about politics?? He should run as Pinocchio !!
Can't get worked up about polls. Remember how the ON Cons were leading right up to the week of the election and then Wynne ended up with a majority?
Yeah...
I think Canadians are so sad and bored that it's become a pastime to f#&k with polls. Lol
These polling numbers come from Postmedia which owns the Sun newspaper group,a big supporter of The Conservatives. The other poll that people often cite is Three Hundred Eight.com,managed by The CBC,the official voice of The Liberal Party of Canada. Polls can be manipulated by whichever corporate or political entity that coughs up the money. It's exceedingly unwise to put any credibility to any of them, but,it sure is fun spewing out their latest "trends" and watching everyone fall all over themselves trying to justify who's right. ROFL!
Exactly Trimmer.
Anyone can spin near anything. If life has taught me anything, it's the world is rarely back or white, normally a shade of grey. The "truth" being somewhere in the middle. Sometimes more black than pure grey or more white, but shades.
The hypocrisy and contradictions of "harper haters" yet Prov Liberal supporters, is what most people don't understand.
Name a popular topic, be it enviromental, be it "political process" be it vote buying, be it XYZ.
Be consistent. It defies logic to say hate Harper for "undermining democracy" (perfectly ok, that's understandable) yet not be equally or more so bothered by what's occurred here in Ont. Harper has nothing on Wynne or the provincial Liberals. You can't suck and blow at the same time.
That is the point.
You can if your a lieberl Jben. Hypocrisy and democracy are two words they fail to grasp the true meaning of.
In all honesty Bushman, not "all" who are staunch supporters of them are this or that.
Naive?
Yes, the writing was on the wall many years ago. Their vote buying, catering to Unions/PS (evidenced in the years 2003-2010 by the insane growth, and continues today to a much lesser extent) was brutally obvious as was the motivation for it. Couple that with early scandals/waste...........
There are reasons they had to hire Drummond to tell them what was wrong, and how to try and fix it, stop the bleeding in 2010.
/whoooiosh
The deeper they dug the holes, the worse various things became. It's not rocket science. As a result today, many people, you know the "common" man is taking it hard on the chin. Steep prices are being paid, numerous ways.
Some may think I hate Liberals, or PS. They'd be wrong, however I don't much care what others think. What I "hate", is what this crew and those who blindly vote for them have done to the prov, but more so the "common" person.
Gee and I though "liberals" we're the ones with a social conscious.
That said. Federally, I can/do understand why many "hate" Harper. Agree with some of the "points", don't others, but credit why people "hate" him.
The contradiction if you though. If a person "hates" Harper, it defies logic that the same person could remotely support/defend/whatever the provincial liberals here.
I agree Jben, they are not all what I said. And you make some valid points. There are a lot of people both blue and red, that will never change their political stripes, irregardless of what a party does, good or bad. I am not afraid to admit I lean towards blue policies and principles. However I can guarantee you I would never vote for Wynne or her platform even if she was a conservative. She lives in her own little fantasy world, one that I absolutely despise along with her and her cronies.
I like bushman :-)
Im a "centrist" Bushman.
Whether I lean to the L or the R, usually depends on the "times". There's a time and place for everything.
For most of our lives (those of us that have been around a few decades).
Look back, federally and provincially. I cant name but two eras/admins where I thought who was at the wheel made any kind of significant difference at all.
Has anyone ever made life so much, or significantly better for us? Nope.
Has anyone ever made life significantly worse for us? Yep, I can name two.
So for the most part, over the past 60 years L or R. It really hasn't mattered much.
Except when they blow up but good.
Bob Rae and McWynne
It's our responsibilty when someone or a party "blows up real good" that we NEVER give them the opportunity to do it,again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Here's the thing terry/trimmer.
"Everyone" regardless of leaning, and even those that dislike politics, all agree and bemoan. Politicians are never held accountable. It's on us and only us. See also civic responsibility.
Why do they do the things they do.
We let them and each time we send s message. Go ahead.
So somewhere down the road, if/when someone else comes along. The back lash here im thinking is inevitable now and with what's before us, it's inly going get worse.
So let's say the cons come in and the pendulum swings the other way trying to fix the mess and......
What have they learned about the past 10 years?
That ontarians don't much care.
No one to blame but...
