Well I thought I would add to my rabbit hunting hounds. Was looking for a new puppy to train and decided on going with a beagle. She is 3 months old and follows my older dog in the bush. Hoping to have her going come end of October.

is that what thy call a lemon ,sweet looking pup ,are thy short leg or long leg dogs ,,I love my beagles ,,,,Dutch

Yep .. Hard to beat beagles for rabbit. Just put my last 2 down this summer . Late teens / cancer . Lots a good memories . Hope all works out , man , with new pup .

Oh ... I am so jealous. Congratulations. My Dad and I bred and trained beagle for many years; have wonderful memories and sure do miss those years.

Thanks everyone. Looking forward to the training and outcome. I bet she will be good. I have an older dog to show her the way. Ontario beagler I got her in wilsonville
You probably already know this, but be careful with matching pup up with the older dog too often Pup needs time alone in the woods etc. otherwise it can turn pup into a follower.
