Just wanted to share a video of a plucker in use on small game birds.
Wasn't sure how well it was going to work..... But turns out it worked very well.

Where'd you get it? Ever try it on ducks or geese?
That's pretty cool. It sure beats hundreds of dollars for a commercial unit.
Whats it made from its spinning too fast to see ;)
Got a photo of it?
During building it. Not completed
But I think you can get an idea of the completed version.
I'll post a completed version when I get a chance.

There are companies that sell pluckers made like this for around $50.
I need something like this for the domestic ducks we have, plucking them takes a lot of time.
They all the drill pluckers at cabelas and bass pro. Can buy replace t rubber nubs as they wear out or break.
Leather gloves would have been a little cumbersome on small birds. It wasn't very painful cause I learnt fast where to put my hands [emoji12]
Great job. I made one for ducks 30yrs ago and had it mounted in a 30gal pail sideways with a clear shield to see in to it. Had this in my parents driveway in town. All my buddies would come and use it too. After the first season and the snow melted in the spring you could see feathers well into the next 6 yards and probly further. Parents said that was it for the neighbourhood plucker. Man did that thing pull feathers. I used a length of abs pipe I believe 4 inch and I got some rubber valve stems and cut the metal end off them. They popped right in a drilled hole and worked great. Cleaned ducks and geese
Thx
I needed mine to be portable. I wanna make a pail version but it wouldn't be good to take out west cause it's too big to bring. Also we had to leave a wing on the bird cause we were transporting them back to toronto. That Paul version would have cleaned wings right off.
