My old girl Tessa( in the avatar) died tonight( 13 1/2) . She had a bad seizure , great fear, which was caused by a brain tumor ,so I put her down.
I bought her from Ugo 11 years ago and never had a regret. She taught me so much - wonderful sweet spirit.
Doesn't matter how many times you go through this it is always a heart ache.

Sorry, losing a companion is always hard.
So sorry to hear about the loss of your companion Sharon.
I lost one of my Bernese to brain cancer/tumour. It was terrifying when he had his first seizure. I had no idea what was going on till later when they found cancer in his lungs too. Makes me sad to think about it, even now, years later.
RIP .. Old friends are hard to loose . My 2 this past fall . You still have the memories Sharon . My condolences .
I'm so very sorry for your loss Sharon. It is very hard to have to put a great dog to rest. We had to make that decision in October. I feel your pain . Your right it's always a heart ache.

Oh my Sharron so sorry to hear you lost a member of your family. We lost Stella our 6 month old bird dog in training last Thursday. She seemed to have passed from the same thing; a seizure. I took her out to her favorite spot we hunt/water trained and buried her by the river’s edge. Truly a sad time for you, your loss will get easier, but dogs have so much love to give..it makes it that much harder at their passing. Hope you find solace in your memories and good times spent together to be always cherished.

Yesterday I was having big talk in the thread about dog food , discussing a Senior diet for Tessa . To day she is gone . Enjoy every day friends; you don't always get any warning when a loved one will be gone.

You know I don't knowv Sharon or her dog that passed .but every time I've posted a Q or a concern on this forum she had been helpful and quick to reply . Even today with her losing her dog she replied to a Q I had about Lyme . To me that shows what a great dog person you are . And I'm sure your dog had a wonderful 11 years . I'm sorry to hear the passing of your friend
