Yesterday I was out doing a little grouce hunting with my bow on some public land. Right next to the land is a posted no trespass and a no hunting sign. After walking through the bush for a couple of hours I decided to call it quits for the day. Walking the trail back to my car I come across 3 grouce just inside the private property side. I stood there and watched for a couple of minutes and then they seen me and took off. I then hear a voice from behind me. It was the property owner. We talked about what I was hunting, little about the weather and stuff. He then extends his hand and thanked me for respecting his land. Said he did not agree why I hunt but I showed him respect for his land. I told him not all hunters are trespassers or shoot at everything that moves like most people like to make us out to be.
