I've been trying for 8 years to get a daytime photo of one of these troublemakers. Finally succeeded at a new camera location.

That's a very small/thin Fisher....funny how they seem to prefer walking on logs etc.
Yeah, he's a skinny bugger. I'm going to measure the log next time I'm there to see how long it is from his front leading paw to the tip of his tail. I wonder if they can travel more quietly or maybe leave less scent travelling along the logs? I'm sure there's a good reason for it. There's a deer path that runs right to left about 8 feet in front of him.
Cool. None where I live.
That is what I seen beginning of May near Hwy 28 and Hwy 29 North of Brockville. Big bugger and beautiful colors he was. Cool
They're around our area and have been for quite a while, now. There's been lots of sightings and photos taken by neighbors. I had one sitting under a bush on my front lawn that took off when I came out to go to work, one morning a few years ago. They're sure keeping the cat population down which is good.
Fishers are beautiful and with nice fur but any forest with a fisher is a quiet forest. Ive seen one climb up a tree just to grab the red squirrel therein and kill it. Vicious little buggers, but my deer sits are now distraction free due to squirrels haha
I've had a fair amount of daytime sightings around my bear baits in the past, but still mostly dusk and dawn. They sure have a liking for sweet bakery products. Go figure
Cheers
Nice capture. Skinny small one for sure
I captured one in June two days in a row same cam and just after 1 pm both days. Nice sunny days!
Here's an updated pic about 300 yds from the first one. Not a great pic but obviously a fisher....
