Hey Big Jack what PR bullets would you recommend for my Savage 10MLii?
PR is my sole source for bullets for the past 18 yrs... I've tried all the variants he sells and settled on the Kieth Nose for hunting. Devastating bullet that my .50 call in-line really likes.Quote:

Not Big Jack, but here is my answer to your question. I started using PR Bullets a few years back, and when I called to place an order, I asked Cecil Epp that very question. He said the 260 grain Extreme Elite in a .40 caliber bullet was the ticket for deer sized game. If I were to hunt moose, he said a 300 grain bullet in a .45 caliber bullet would be in order. I had originally planned on ordering 300 grain .45 cal bullets, but he said I would be happier with the performance of a .40 cal bullet in my Savage for deer. Took his advice and I am a happy camper. I figured since he had a Savage in his stable of test guns, he knew what he was talking about.Quote:

I spoke with Cecil this morning and put in my order over the phone (877-828-5538). He says that's the way get the same deal shipped to your Canadian address.
He says he has been charging in US funds for about 5 yrs...I guess it makes sense if his customers are primarily Americans. A sale like this, 35% off, basically cancels the exchange rate..so you get the bullets at the cost advertised.
Anyway...a bunch of bullets are on their way...ohhh Happy Days :)

I was just on the site, am interested in adding to my stock as I usually use Powerbelts but like to try different stuff (cause everyone loves the smell of a smokecloud in the morning). I didn't see anywhere on the site to sign up for emails or sales so do you just get lucky and happen to be on the site when they come up or what??.

That's the case for me. I know from experience that there are usually sales around Labor Day, and both Canadian and American Thanksgivings. They also have sales around the start of March. Check their site around those times. Or just watch this forum and wait for MikePal to post about it. He usually stumbles upon them first.
Thanks for the input Delmer, that's what I figured. I bookmarked the site anyway and it seems to have saved my selections in the cart so hopefully that stays there.
