Rare breed for sure. Best of luck in your search. CGN likely your best bet
You'd likely be best to buy a new CZ. Usually under $1000.
check with Prophet River out of Alberta
What he said ^^^^.
A guy on CGN had a CZ for sale a few days ago. Check it out on the shotguns for sale page. It a 28 sxs and from what I remember it was about $800 or so. Cheers
Totally depends on what kind of quality you're looking for. On the low end, CZ is going to run you around $1000, like mentioned above.
Anything in the higher grades (AYA, Ugartechea, RBL, etc.) are going to be $4,000+ easy.

I found a near mint aya #4 for under 4k on CGN in 28ga

why a 28g? and not 20g?
Well, I already have four (4). 20 ga. guns, and I love 28 ga, but have none in SxS. so...
I have yet to own a 28g yet own very nice 20-16-12 doubles. It's just a matter of time when I come across the right one though.
Interested in a semi auto 28ga.?

Thanks really looking for SXS
Take a look at Churchill by Akkar from Turkey.
We have been selling a lot of their O/U guns and some SXS for months now and customers are very happy with the product.
SXS are extractors only with single triggers.
Wood and blueing is very nice and prices seem good.
Stu.
Prophet River can import anything you can find in the U.S. for a brokerage and shipping fee, as they have a US FFL, so you're not limited to the Canadian market
Do you have to pay HST for the imported firearm

I ordered an RBL from Connecticut Shotgun through Questar 6 years ago and then their prices went up a lot. At that time it was another $200 or so on top of the US$ price plus the exchange and shipping in Canada. Clay at Prophet River is a great guy and would be happy to answer your questions, or this

Place a wanted ad on CGN. You will pay large.
I'd order a CZ from Prophet and be done.
Shooters choice in Waterloo has a beautiful Charles Daly ( Miroku) 28g O/U. Beautiful gun.
That would be the one, if it's a decent price...
Prophet River as a few have already said. I wanted a straight stock 20 gauge for a long time, seem to me it was TerryM that pointed it out on a thread....and then $1300 later......
Now that Weatherby they have is gorgeous as well, straight stocked and all.....
I just looked at that little 28g Daly on Shooters Choice website. Sweet little gun. Just sayin.......:silly:
i feel like I should own a 28 but I have two amazing 20g that will do it all. My Citori feather lightning weighs 6lbs and has choke tubes and my Merkel SxS is a joy to carry and is choked SK/LM. Not sure a28 would gain anything.
The Charles Daly is overpriced, they can keep it
The daly is a great gun. Pretty much hand made....if it's a miruko. Factory skt/skt? English stock. Hand engraved. Hand regulated.
If I wanted a 28ga....it would defiantly be on my list. Not much around at that price and quality.
Just say'n.
I handled one last July. Felt scaled down to me. If it's still there this February...... : )
Had a good look at the shooters choice CD 28ga. $1900 all in....doubt I would pay half for that. Not sure what they see in it actually. A 20ga. frame BTW.
Just say'n
Thanks for the update zoli 16ga, I was curious to know what the 'real' deal was. Even if I wasn't in the middle of a renovation and with a pup on the way, sure wouldn't drop 2k on that.

Your welcome. Took a two hour turnaround drive to find out, but it was bugging me. On a better note, an older gent beside me did buy an early 1900 octagon barrel lever action 22. What a sweet gun. He let me handle it a bit. We both had big smiles. He did well.
