How old do my daughters have to be before they can hunt? I'd like to start them as early as possible with a crossbow with me. Just want to know legal age.

Hunting is 12. If you want them to start with guns on their own there own asap, there's a few hoops to jump through with the RCMP.
From 12-15 years old they can hunt as an apprentice
At 15 they can get their full hunting licence with parental consent.

The earliest they can purchase a licence is at 15 with parental consent. Until then (from the age of 12) they can hunt as an apprentice under a mentors licence. I suggest reading page 22 of the hunting regulations.Quote:

Also under the age of 15 you are only allowed 1 gun between the two of you.
