That was really nice footage.
some small ones, but there was a couple of big wolves too. I think you can see what is a pup or yearling vs a bigger adult wolf.
Great post Splaker I enjoyed the video .After seeing your post I did a search on You Tube there is a great deal more featuring Algonquin Park wildlife .
Thanks Joe
ya te dude who posted it has a bunch of other stuff... one 18 min vid has all sorts of wildlife; moose in rut, bear, fisher, deer, etc... I wonder if this is right in the park and if so, is one allowed to set up a cam in the park?
Yah i`m the guy.....as far as placing cameras in the park I do not know maybe one of the other members can answer your question . Good post !
Joe
Like the video, little guys look cute but that family of 8(?) sure must need a lot of food to live.
Thanks for posting that Splaker..it was enjoyable to watch.
there's a lot of pups in the pack of 8... it's late summer so there are pretty good size. The adult (male/female?) are clearly larger... there's a few males in there that look pretty big... especially the one just standing in front of the cam for what seemed like 45 seconds at night... long legs, bigger chest...
great vid, thanks for sharing
Those were Algonquin Wolves? is it me or are they a bit thinner than usual or the camera?
Look about right to me.. it's summer/early fall. Winter coat always makes fur-bearing animals like fuller/bigger. Also, wolves in central Ontario are not very large. However if you watch carefully, you'll note that a lot of the animals are clearly pups. There are some good size adults in there, some that could be close to 75lbs or more.. hard to say for sure.
would love to observe wolves in the wild. maybe when i go to algonquin this summer i'll get lucky.
i wonder what made that sound at 1:41 and scared the wolf??
