Definition of alimony: The screwin' ya get for the screwin' ya got.
So ya seriously pay more than ya currently earn?
Why dont you just ask your lawyer?
Thats what you're paying him for
Exacty. Nice to have some first hand b4 you go to the guy you pay. You pay a mechanic too. How many women have mechanics liked to have seen coming with no knowledge and full purses?
So on 60 a year you pay her 300?
Just don't cheap out on legal advice. Be sure you hire a lawyer that's smart AND good AND has the "ear" of the Court. Every case and situation has different circumstances. NEVER mislead or lie to your lawyer. Don't involve anyone else and keep your trap SHUT to everyone....especially your "X". Oh,yeah, stay the hell away from her. You have no idea how much worse she can make your life miserable. I understand you've had a bit of a taste, but, believe me,you ain't seen nuttin',yet. Don't be another statistic cooling your heels in the local lock-up because it can happen fast.
Ask your lawyer and also go online to use support calculator. I tried both and the amount was close enough.

You will pay what you have to pay and asking on here what you have to pay is CRAZY! ASK YOUR LAWYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Standup,
Get the best lawyer that you can afford but do your own research as well.
Do not play the, "back and forth" game because that just wastes time and money.
Discover what your legal options and responsibilities are and then STAND FIRM.
Be reasonable.
Say what you mean, mean what you say and follow through.
As others have stated, keep quiet and holds your cards close.
Best of luck and chin up.
The best piece of advice ever is right here. On a personal note when I got divorced from my first wife in 1986, I got full custody of my then 11 month boy. No alimony, no support, no division of assets, pension. I got it all. WHY..because at the time I had 15K in the bank and hired the best lawyer in London Ontario. It had nothing to the law, it was all based on the lawyers reputation in front of the judge. That's the truth.
Well thats what I've done. Just not sure what it means since the "no fault" era. Seems she can shove a bowie in my guts and get all the cake
