Nice Pair ..the game is on !!

Last pull of the SD cards before the hunt on Monday. The trail cams have allowed me to identify 6 nice bucks in the area and lots of pics of day time travel. A successful recce.

Since I know that they are frequenting the area, I will be using my Deer Quest scents sticks and seeing how they respond to the 'Estrus' sticks this year.

I took 3 bucks out of this area last year so contrary to opinion, that doesn't appear to have impacted the population. With a healthy supply of does living here they will always be bucks moving in.

Thanks BM, but it isn't there anymore, I moved it to a new trail I found yesterday to see what's happening.

It was originally put at that spot just to keep an eye on my stand in the off season.

There is a couple of us that will be party hunting this week at 2 different farms. Then I'm with the guys at the Camp next week. So it will be a busy couple of weeks. Lots of hunting and hopefully some good laughs.

It sure is heating up; I spoke with one of the fella's I will be hunting with on Mon, he's bow hunting at the other farm right now and saw the biggest buck he's ever seen this morning. Not in bow range but will be for rifle in two days. He did the smart thing and laid low, backed of calling etc and let the beast wander away.

The thing now, I will have to take food and water to him all week because he'll sleep out there till he gets it..Haha

I may have to pull my shot frati. I was out yesterday at the new stand and the water in the shooting lane is about 2' deep. If I drop him there it will be a messy wet job. I may have to do a double lung, wound him so he'll run a bit and get up to higher ground himself. Have to give it some thought.
