Good deals. I always wanted to try there bullets I may order some & give them a try...
lead bullets don't usually perform well with speeds over 2300 fps. if you're planning on using them with your savage.
Just a heads up. I wanted some clarification about Canadian orders, so I contacted PR Bullet. Canadian orders get 15% off, but, are billed in US dollars and don't get free shipping. The shipping is reduced though, by an equivalent of what typical US shipping would be. Apparently, the shipping costs within Canada through Canada Post makes it cost prohibitive to offer for free.

That's strange, the last order I made with them I got the discount and free shipping to my Mail box at the end of the lane way. The bill was quoted from the web site (US funds) but I was billed in $ CDN on my credit card . Great Deal...maybe that has changed now.Quote:

Iv been using these bullets for the past few years and have had great results . Iv ordered several times before and was always Canadian funds also. There are a few local dealers that sell them also.
Last time I ordered was a couple years ago and I was billed in $CDN too. But the wording for the current sale had me questioning if that was still the case, that's why I contacted them. As for the shipping, Cecil Epp (the owner) referred to Canada Post as crooks. That's why Canadian shipping is not free, but at a reduced rate. That decision will be based on your hunting style.
My ML hunt is in the deep bush from a tree stand, so I rarely have to shot more than 50 yds. So I use their 330gr .45 cal 'Keith Nose'. It's designed to flatten out like a $0.50 piece and dissipate all it's kinetic energy inside the wound channel. Devastating bullet. The down side, you rarely get an exit wound, the bullet is usually recovered in the hide on the far side, however, with a well placed shot, the deer usually drop in the tracks and you don't need a blood trail.
If your shooting out into a field, 100+ yds, you will probably want their 'Dead Center' bullet. It's designed for those 200 yds shots.
At the prices being offered, what I have done in the past is buy a sampling of what they have and try different bullets with your ML...

yes i hunt in a wooded area and the max would be 50 yards. quick question do the bullets come with the sabots or is that sold separately.

Your best bet would be to call and talk with Cecil. Tell him what gun you are shooting, the normal ranges you expect to be shooting, and the type of environment you hunt - ie woods, fields, combination of both. He will advise you as to what will work best given your circumstances.Quote:

Well, I just confirmed that my phone in order was billed in $USD (no surprise, as PR said it would be). Still cheaper than most other bullets, but disheartening to be paying more than an American does, considering both the seller and buyer are in Canada.

I picked up a bunch of different weights/ styles of the PR bullets, including QT, elites, and dead centres last year when they had a sale, ensuring that they were ones that were supposed to be good for my barrel twist rate.
I have always used Powerbelts in the past but their prices have gone through the roof in the last few years. So far the PR products seem to fly just as well as the Powerbelts.
On a side note, when I first fired a QT last weekend, after the gun had been stored last year and bore-buttered I only did a dry swab in my rifle then loaded and fired, missing 12" low and 6" right from 50 yards. Doh!!!! After doing a better cleaning the rest of the shots were within an inch or so of centre, and played a bit with different primer, powder and bullet combos.
I picked up a pack of Pyrodex pellets, which I am guessing has sulfur in it compared to the Triple seven I am used to that doesn't have any. The pellets are just a bit longer then the triple 7 ones, and boy do they leave a scent in the woods when you touch it off. I LIKE THAT A LOT!!!!
There is NOTHING BETTER on a cool crisp morning in the woods then a stinky smelly cloud of burnt gunpowder to make your coffee taste great. Gonna go play again today, hopefully be in the stand starting Wednesday morning.
