So I watched the first debate on TVO tonight. I think the one who would be best suited was the moderator Steve Paiquin.
No knock out punches and I'm still on the fence as who would be most likely to beat Wynne.

Well...none of them. The Ontario Libertarian Party gets my vote...but then I am biased...
Elliott looked old and tired. Ford tried to restrain his combative tendencies and was underwhelming. Mulroney seemed tentative and uncertain but was more effective. Ford and Elliott are experienced debaters while it was the first time for Mulroney. When I think about the leader's debate during election campaign and who I'd like to see on the stage against Horvath and Wynne my answer is Caroline Mulroney.
I think Ford lead that debate. The other three kept repeating themselves in that they all agreed with Ford. I don't know what's going to happen with Brown though. He's claiming (sources say) that he never officially resigned as leader.
Edit- I was just reading that Brown did officially state he was stepping down, although he didn't sign a resignation letter. I guess his statement is good enough.
He dreamed he might resign and that was good enough for CTV.
Wow the PC's can really snatch defeat away from the jaws of victory, can't they?
Brown is running for leadership now.
This could either highlight the divisions in the party and turn voters off the PCs, or it could continue to generate new-found attention for the PCs, which might not be a bad thing. The PCs are all that Ontario voters and the press are talking about now. When was the last time Wynne was in the headlines?
When is the last time she did something stupid.
Vic Fedelli booted Brown from caucus, but,he still can serve as an MPP for his riding unless the riding association removes him. Personally,I think it's an ill-advised face-saving move. He should look after his legal problems, completely, before re-entering the race if he's truly keeping the well-being of the party as his first priority like he said.
... about 18 hours ago from what I read..

I wonder if he is one of these or they just did a complete coverup for them?

but she is also standing by this candidate

Some 155 complaints of intimidation were lodged against Deanna Sgro’s firm, decision called tactics “abusive”
They do seem to protect and coverup for their own...
He doesn't have legal problems, if the accusations are true he is only guilty of being akward and making a poor excuse of a pass at a woman. Nothing illegal about that . Not very smooth but no laws broken. From what I read there is no chance he will ever be charged with anything.
I agree with that Trimmer.
Furthermore, if Brown wins the leadership (which he may do because he brought in a lot of memberships the first time around), how does he work with his caucus who basically stepped over his political body before it was cold to elect a new leader? How does he work with Fedeli who basically made him the political equivalent of a leper? Winning the leadership would be a no-win situation for him.
He just doesn't know that he should do the PC party a favour and get lost.
Unfortunately if he wins again, we may as well resign ourselves to another 4 years and Winnie the Poop.
Yup, they always seem to find a way to lose it
True ..... but there is a flicker of a light that maybe we can get the Golem clan out of power... and this from the red star.

Half of Ontarians would vote for PCs in next election: poll
The Forum Poll surveyed 949 Ontario voters, 49 per cent of whom said they would support the Tories in the next election, a jump of seven percentage points in just a few weeks.
It might take a bit of a "dip" with Brown back in it,but,I can't see him even coming close in the leadership race. It seems many in the party were not overly enamored with his carbon tax agreement among other things. He's seen as a "red" Tory. I doubt it will fly.
Hopefully he stays on the bottom. With him being around it will do more harm than good for the party.
With all the media attention on the PCs and very little on the Liberals these days, the PC leadership race seems to have turned into a reality show where the winner gets crowned Premier.

Even on his best days, leading in the polls and raising lots of cash and glad-handing with the best of them, it was never entirely clear why Patrick Brown wanted to be leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario.
He didn't have a notable interest in the mechanics of the government he was hoping to run after this spring's election, or any real fundamental differences with the province's ruling Liberals. He never seemed to have quite grown out of the youth politician he had been, two decades before: the sort with ambition for ambition's sake, a love of politics as a game with personal advancement the only real objective.
Now, we have confirmation, courtesy of a bizarre week of flame-throwing that culminated in his announcement that he will run again for the job he vacated three weeks ago amid sexual-misconduct allegations: For Patrick Brown, public life is all about Patrick Brown.
....
I am a Conservative and I truly believe that the old boys club within the PC party is more concerned about their internal struggles than giving Wynne and the Liberals the boot our of Ontario. I think that as long as there is infighting in the PC party the Wynne is sitting back eating popcorn and watching the mud slinging.
Mosq. you are pointing out a few flaws in PB. Were you unaware of them, or were you willing to overlook them, a couple months ago when you stood behind him as your leader? Why can't the cons. find a leader that 'everyone' ,can enthusiastically support? You have to know what your entire party stands for , before you can sell it to others. Unfortunately with all the different factions within the party , you never really know what you are going to get.
If you want to make some comparisons go ahead, I have a few small preferences but not the time to look at them all and any one of them would be a far better choice and should beat Premier Golem in the poles unless the $8,000,000,000 in new spending was enough to buy the election.
