I find it a bit too restrictive - and also generating a lot of "yeah...", "I agree", "right on" and similar replies to other posts, just to get to the 50...
What do others think about it?
(Hey, at least now I also got one more towards the 50...)

The idea is to get people to join the forum to discuss hunting and fishing not to use the site to just sell something.
Its a pain and we all had to do it, but it avoids the people just floating around forums trying to sell stuff. And if your a common person contributing to the forum people can get a feel of who you are.
I understand both of your reasoning - and I agree with them, too. It's just not too convenient, especially if someone (like me) comes to the forum (practically every day) not only to join discussions, but mainly to learn from others by silent observation (i.e., reading)...
But I got one more posting from this, anyway... (and for the time being, I posted my stuff on firearmscanada)...
Just to clarify something: I haven't ask for and also don't need a free card (for anything).
With those "only" 39 posts I tried to contribute as well as I could. I could have written many empty and worthless posts like many here do, but I choose not to. Sorry if you don't see any political ramblings, or any (real or made up) bragging about how well I shoot or how good of a hunter I am... (There! Getting close to the sacred 50!)
oops, I am over the 50, my bad
Thank you for rooting for me!
I am getting there sooner or later, too!
I've enjoyed your posts. Good for you for not just saying anything to get to 50.
(That rule was initiated to keep the spammers out who just want free advertising.)
Thank you Sharon, I really appreciate your comment!
Hey, you can do it, I just did...I have nothing to sell though...maybe I could give something for free just to celebrate.;)
Good for you! (I have two more to go after this...)
Thank you jaycee!
1 more to go you can do it. Let's make it meaningful what type of hunting or fishing do you prefer most?
Thank you greatwhite!
I am going up North to WMU 26/27 next week for the spring bear hunt. I don't think baiting would work this early in the season because the bears are probably still grazing the dandelions, so I (and two of my friends) will probably just wander around, hoping to catch one unawares... (And yes, that was No., 50!)
Yeah. I agree,, right on...lol
I'm still 10 away but that was never my goal. I've been a member for over 9 years and still haven't hit the number.
I do like to read others stories and hear other view points.
I have noticed that there are a few members with a gazillion posts or replies who seem to enjoy pot stirring and generally like debating.... about anything.!
I have posted on that site too because Canadian gun nutz has a similar stupid rule!
Personally I think this is a dumb rule, if someone wants to sell stuff let them, as a person who is always on the market for things, I don't want a restriction preventing me from getting access to a given item. But the rules are what they are.
We don't want to become another EBay, Kijiji, ect. Those sites are designed for you to sell stuff. At OOD Forums we are looking for members to participate in conversation and to share ideas and opinions. The selling section is just a bonus for participating members.
