Do you hunt over bait for deer?

Has anyone tried C'Mere Deer dry mix?
No. Not a morality thing for more a cost thing. Although perhaps defining bait is good. I'm in Southern Ontario and a lot of what I hunt is field edge. So maybe I do hunt over bait....

With CWD on our doorstep, I think the option of baiting deer won't be around for very much longer. I don't hunt over bait, but I do enjoy utilizing mineral sites in the spring/summer to fill SD cards, for now.
During the bow hunt I hunt over looking a couple of apple trees on a small meadow so kind of like bait.. during the rifle hunt we use hounds that livin up the deer woods. Big woods hunting with hounds is truly a special time.
Wiped out from what? A disease that isn't here yet? DNR's are ending baiting in CWD area's throughout several states. There's arguments both ways on whether it's necessary or not. IMO, it's common sense that gathering animals to where they'll exchange saliva can only increase the spread.

I don’t think there is any question that feeding deer would increase the chances of CWD spread, once the disease is in an area. Once CWD infects a herd, I would think a feeding ban would be in order. However, that won’t do much to prevent the spread in winter yards. I think the chances of spreading CWD are much greater in a deer yard than in a baiting scenario. But that’s just my opinion.
I ran a poll last year on the Excal site and the results where similar, 50-50 hunting over bait and not.
I didn't understand the magnitude of CWD until I listened to this, pretty scary stuff:
