Vortex Crossfire II - any good?

I'm thinking about picking up a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9 x 50mm for a rifle I recently bought because the scope is on sale at Cabela's. Anybody have experience with the Crossfire II line? How would it compare to a Bushnell Elite, Redfield Revolution, or Nikon Prostaff II? They are all roughly in the same price range, with the regular price of the Vortex being the highest.

I have had the crossfire 2 for a couple years now, I liked it so much, I have bought other vortex products.

I have 2 of them and I find they are good value for the money. As with any scope line as you go up in price lens quality (ie: light transmission) will improve but overall I think you won't regret buying the Crossfire.

I have a vortex Crossfire II 6x18x44 on my CZ 455 (17hmr) FLUTED bull barrel. The scope turns it into a tack driver, and the glass is nice on it. You will not regret buying it if you haven't already.

I picked up a used 3-9x40. It actually did not fit on the gun I intended to use it on, so I swapped it with a scope I had on another gun. It seems like a decent scope, but I haven't tried it yet. It has a "no questions asked" lifetime transferable warranty. Made in China though.

Aren't most of them built there ? unless you get into the high end scopes.

I really like mine I have the same power scope on another gun and the vortex seems to draw in more light scopes are the same in mag.

I don't believe most scopes are built in China. Japan, USA, Korea are some of the names I have seen on my scopes, and I don't have any high end scopes.

Entry level scopes (Crossfire) are Chinese. Mid class scopes (Diamondback, Viper) are made in the Philippines. High end (Razor) are made in Japan. I think almost all scopes that retail for less than $200, regardless of manufacturer, are Chinese made these days.

Bushnell Elite out of your choices would be my pick. Lifetime warranty doesn't mean squat when your out hunting.

I have some of those. They are decent, but not on sale when I was looking.
