My buddy joe saw and shot at his first deer this morning. Had time to take a pic of it, pic up his bow, find a lane andddd absolutely smoke a tree dead centre...
poor guy blew it. Came down same trail he walked in on. 20 yards.
Beauty of a tree! Might taste a little woody, but will look good on the wall!

Nope that's him. The better looking one is myself taking the picture lol he was a good sport about it. Totally got buck fever and the deer would have come into the open but it had heard him bump his bow. He thought he could thread the needle into the vitals but the absolute opposite happened lol ah well lesson learned for him today.
Ha ha.....it happens, glad he was a good sport about it.... the joys of hunting :)

I had a 5” tree behind a target for my 06 and after a few rounds it fell over.
Been there done that . lol

Did that with a shot gun slug once. Thought that I had a clear shot but there was a broken off tree just in front of him and i nailed it...
I have a few branches and trees hanging on my wall too!

I got in the Christmas Spirit the other day as well, missing the turkey and decorating a tree with my broadhead. Turkeys 2, Me 0
when i started a while back i hunted squirrels with a bow. my thought was if i could stalk a squirrel and kill it with a bow i would be better off going for deer later. smoked a sugar line a bushy tail was sitting on and im pretty sure he crapped on my arrow. it happens.
Looks like an ash tree so it's days were numbered anyway! Lol. Glad to see he can laugh about it.
