10 pt around 8am in light rain, 3 years ago
One year I got a buck exactly 2min in to legal shooting time. I have got a deer down to the last min of legal shooting time in the afternoon. Also some really late morning success too. Deer do what they do...lol
Just got in from a sit deer rolled thru at 10am. Most days I'd have been gone for an hour. Calm morning I stuck it out a little longer!
Latest morning deer taken was about 10:30am and that is because I usually leave the bush by then....... earliest afternoon deer would be about an hour before dark and that is only because I usually only hunt the last hour or so before dark...I am guessing most people do the same.
While it might be possible to kill a deer at anytime, I like to play the high percentage times... first 2 hrs in the morning, last hour before dark..
I've shot deer at every time across the board. Key is , this time of year is to be hunting scrape and rube lines. Buck will hit them 2 to 3 times daily. I've shot some of my biggest deer between 11am and 2pm. Best time of year to be in the deer woods in right now!!! Good luck everyone
10pt buck at 9:45am, i was sitting in the woods about 20 yards from a standing corn field. Saw 3 does walk into the corn about 80 yards away. As soon as I saw them i hit the grunt call and 3 mins later that big buck walked right towards me, head down looking for the grunter, and I shot him at 33 yards. This was second week of November, so I had a very good feeling a buck was gonna be trailing those does.
The bulk of my deer have been in the first or last hour of daylight, but I've shot plenty in the middle of the day during the rut.
I have shot morning between 720 and 930, and afternoon anytime within a hour of legal, I have taken a doe at 130 in the afternoon, and a buc at 205
I think it also really depends on what type of hunt it is. When you are driving deer with dogs they can be shot at any time of the day while if you are still hunting then the majority will be morning and before dark
Shot a couple as late as 11:45 am. On one of those hunts I didn't even go out until 11 am.
Afternoons as early as 3 hours before end of legal light.
If you always hunt the first and last hours of the day, try surprising the deer on a mid-day sit or two. You never know what you'll see and might find that you have been patterned by the deer.

I have taken (1) small 8 point around 10:30 but most of my deer have been taken early afternoon. My biggest buck was taken on Manitoulin Island many moons ago at 2:00 pm
I have had no luck early morning or late afternoon...…….go figure?
10 am and 3:20 pm
Ive shot deer around noon. Either just before or just after. Cant remember
1pm sat all days was one of my biggest bucks too game cam was getting alot of pics of daywalkers
All times of the day I shot five one year, a big doe at midday, two fawns at around 4.40pm and then two Spike horns side by side at about 2pm. Not exactly hard animals to take but they did fill the meat pole. But I agree the high percentage times are first few hours and last few hours.
11 15 and 1 30 pm
Lots over the years around lunch time when everyone goes back to camp and the woods get quiet. The same for Moose.
I have sat in a tree stand during the controlled hunt in 87C every year except one in the last 11 years and have shot deer in every different hour of legal shooting time. Roughly from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
One year shot 3 bucks all between 11 am and 2 pm.
