Does anyone remember the member GoldenLake Pete? Has anyone heard from him? His profile says he hasn't been active since June 2017. He was quite knowledgeable - gave me some good tips on handloading.

Was just thinking about him the other day, I miss his posts on muzzleloaders and reloading
I like GoldenLake Pete and his posts here as well.
Some members take a break from the forums, and I have done that myself a couple of times.
Some move away, or have various life problems to deal with, etc. but I wish everyone good health and happy hunting/fishing/trapping for as long as possible.
In recent memory, TurkeyRookie, Honkerbonker, Abitibi Ray, JBen, woody1948... have either left the forums or slowed down/stopped posting. Former mods like Zr2Paul, and Pointersrule and CalTek have either vanished or really slowed down posting as well. Some of these fellows I know about and keep in touch with, but others... well, I can only wish them all the best and hope that they are doing fine.
Left, then returned under a new name...No?
Anyway, I think GoldenLake Pete, was a bit....older, which is why I asked if anyone had heard from him.
He was one of those forum members that only ever posted useful info. He didn't get involved in the nonsense that goes on here. Seemed like a solid guy, though I never met him in person. We had a few conversations by PM
Not sure. Jben and I are friends off here, and he didn't mention it.
Appreciate you wanting to check in on a missing guy though.
I was driving through Golden Lake last Friday and I thought of Golden Lake Pete. I wondered how he was doing. I think Oaknut might know since they're from the same general area.
Any word at all? I'm glad someone noticed he was missing and thought to ask about him. In the last two years, I have lost two of my retriever training buddies, they both passed away. It's been a rough stretch. Here is hoping that Golden Lake Pete is well and just taking some time off the forum. I myself don't post much anymore because I got sick and tired of people being crappy to others for no apparent reason. Here's hoping he has done the same.
MikePal provided me an update by PM. Not sure if he wants to share the info publicly though. In summary, GoldenLakePete is still kicking, but it seems like life doesn't give him the luxury of having opportunities to read the forums much anymore. I hope he decides to return sometime - there are very few forum members like him left around here; knowledgeable, respectful, willing to help and share what they know while not pretending to know more than they actually do.
Well, that is not the news I was hoping to hear. My training buddies that passed on were similar - full of knowledge, willing to help, just really good guys. I know we all have to go sometime, but can't the good ones have a horseshoe or two handy when they need them?
