Great video. Must be exciting hearing the dogs work. Nice shot as well ! Pretty well all our yotes are shot on the run.
A Moderator needs to take this down before it incites the antis. I run hounds I don;t want to loose the right.

Does anyone else feel like this should be taken down due to the possibility of it hurting our sport? I had a complaint due to the dogs chewing the coyote. In my mind it's okay because it's dead and it's the dogs reward. I felt like it was okay and real, that's why I put it up.

What do you think they " coyotes, wolves " do when they take down a fawn, deer, moose etc. A hell of a lot gorier than what you just witnessed... Nice shooting, and good dog work...

In Ontario game animals are hunted for meat and furbearers are hunted for fur, and allowing either to spoil is illegal. Personally, I wouldn't post things that could be viewed as damaging the meat of a game animal or the fur of a furbearer.
awesome video, nothing wrong with the dogs biting that yote. I would like to see them tear into one that is still alive! If you dont like the video, dont watch it and screw the antis!

Great video, and for the people that don't like it then don't watch. Personally I want to watch the real thing and how it went down. This is hunting and you have to appreciate how its done regardless if you don't like it or not.
Here is one guy that has done a lot of positives for hunting, he shows here how harsh traditional hunting can be and he is using dogs.

If you felt the need to sensor it then the kill shot may not need to be there but far too often do we hide from what things are, the video is not filled with gore, the dogs are doing there job and biting at a dead animal, not attacking a live one and causing it undue harm, a dead animal that no longer feels anything.
I wish that there were more of the yote and maybe video of the shot but the camera jumped at that time.

That was probably a $100+ pelt at todays auction rates if it had been handled and pelted properly. I would have been diving on my hounds after they had two reward grabs each! I still remember $75 coon back in the early eighties as a young teen. We'd shoot the treed coon then we'd be yelling at the dogs after they'd each had a grab of fur. Any more and the buggers would turn the $75 coon into an $8 coon!. Lovely hounds
The dogs don't do any damage to the hide. Most years we run 25 to 50 yotes. Never got a deduction for bite marks yet.Quote:
