Great mount, looks good
Great looking deer, I take it the quills were in it when you shot it?
Very nice job
Yeh, he had a lot more in the tip of his nose and sticking straight out from his bottom jaw but my friend pulled them out when I wasnt there.
He was making a scrape right before I shot him and I could hear him grunting and thrashing a tree, Quills had to be bugging him a fair bit

Oh man that is an awesome deer! The quils I love, gives it so much character and what type of curiousity they have
Very nice mount, congrats!
Awesome Buck, great looking mount.
Wow. Fantastic deer. Congrats
That is a great mount. Did you get him scored? I recognize he is not a record or anything, but I like seeing what real deer score so I have some comparison to deer I see or have shot. And I am by no means trying to diminish him. He is a great buck, even more interesting due to the uniqueness of having quills. Cheers.
That is pretty unique, and a great mount as well!
Very nice buck! Congrats
I am truly a fan of a high rack deer. Great looking animal and very unique with the quills in his nose... An attention getter for sure. Well done and a very nice trophy...
Thanks everyone.
I didnt not get it scored, if i had to guess I'd say 140", maybe 150" on the high end because hes got good mass and decent spread.

Nice deer.
Helluva buck! Any story behind the hunt?
Not too much to the story but it happened opening morning of the November shotgun hunt. Was just daylight enough for me to watch a spike buck walk away from me and when I lost sight him of him I heard this buck thrashing a tree right where the spike had been. Shot him with my 20guage at 50 yards broadside and watched him bolt back the way he came tail up like I missed. Went to text my friend that I was hunting with and he already texted me saying he shot a monster buck. I texted him back saying so did I LOL
I found mine about 50 yards from where I shot it thankfully, My buddy shot a 14 point non typical monster 5 minutes before I did. His first deer ever and first 5 minutes of deer hunting. I couldn't believe it when I got there after loading mine. We were both lucky that day. Third pic is of my friends buckhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9bd93fb3bf.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...15f46d15e5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...59fc09bc11.jpg

Nice...........
Nice deer, your buddies non-typical looks like an old deer. 2017 must have been the year for quills, my son shot a big 6 pt. with a snout full of quills as well.
Your buddy shot that deer with a total time of five minutes of hunting time in?
I would retire right there. He has peaked.

I'm extremely jealous, great mount,congrats
That buck was fighting another buck and he said his got run off towards his stand. He could hear antlers smashing while walking in and he wasnt sure what it was until he heard the grunting. Climbed his ladder stand as fast as he could, pumped 3 shells into the gun and the buck ran 40 yards from the stand and stopped for him to shoot. He said the other buck was bigger. This buck was all tore up in its neck region. Looks to have another massive drop tine snapped off the other side as it's a 2" round mark on the main beam where a point broke. We figure this deer was 10+ years old. Not many teeth left in his head.
He also missed a giant buck this year in the same stand. Hes got horseshoes that's for sure lol.
