Friend of mine bought a tag but never had a chance to hunt. He received a strict email reminder yesterday. Looks like the ministry is dead serious about this!

It’s simple. Do the 1 minute report and you hunt next season.

Blow it off and you don’t!!

Just did mine. Bought a tag but was unable to get out this year, my first question was, "Did you hunt Wild Turkey this year". My answerer is "NO" and my survey was done. Took no time.

I was a little confused it asked how many Turkey did we see. Did it mean different ones each day or just how many times regardless if they were the same ones. I assumed it meant total in all.

That part is a little confusing, I know darn well I saw the same turkey (laughing at me) at least 6 different days.

I never got an email and I forgot till the 15th... when I called it said I had no surveys available.... I'm worried im screwed for next year.

I believe I read somewhere that the first year of reporting was NOT being subject to any consequences.

What's with the leniency? Was well informed that there are new reporting requirements, several threads here reminding about the change and need to report with deadline and consequences. If you blew it off suffer the consequences. I know it sounds harsh but how else you going to learn? Spare the rod spoil the child. Ya I know its a bit antiquated but I'm seeing a lot of "rules don't apply to me mentality" out there in general.

I put mine in on time. And I don’t mind giving grace to those that didn’t.

Rules rules rules. MNR makes it all so complicated. Bureaucracy rules

Not sure why they would take that position for the first year, unfortunately they didn't include me in any of their meetings, emails or final decisions..... lol
