I am wondering if there are ways -maybe by the Moderators-to cut out the nonsense, personal attacks, insults and the repeatable major (many times unprovoked )disrespect ,which erode the value of this, otherwise would be very valuable Forum?

Bullying won’t end.
Grow thicker skin.
Bear starts next month, early goose and waterfowl is September. Things will not change till the fall.
Everyone is bored, the same guys fighting and disagreeing in one thread will be agreeing and getting along in the next..
Just read Your reply and You will find what i am talking about!
Did i anywhere mentioned i am PERSONALLY offended ,when i started the post?
No!
Did You come down on me with personal attack?

Yes.
My friend,You are missing something here!
In my opinion, the only way to turn this fine forum around is to dump all "Off Topic" forums and keep this an outdoor related forum where we share outdoor related posts.
There are millions of forums out there where you can talk about Religion, Abortions, Politics and other topics that cause idiots to gather and slap each other.
Also, this off topic area gives all a bunch of different perspectives on various and sometimes inflammatory topics and all the different opinions are voiced by people with 1 BIG COMMON INTEREST...……………. a love of hunting and fishing.

That is exactly what the Ontario Fishing Community forum did in regard to political posts a couple of years back after things were going downhill big time. Still plenty of off topic threads for members looking for advice etc., but absolutely nothing political allowed anymore. I would say it's been a good success.
Cheers
The major problem with a "lack of respect" some posters perceive is the fact tone of voice can't be conveyed across the internet. So if I post something, the reader's inference dictates my tone opposed to if I was speaking face to face with someone. With the exception of two people, I respect everyone on these forums. I don't always agree with them but they have an opinion and can voice it.
Very true. What could be a lively spirited debate in person, can quickly turn into a war online.
I have been on other forums which have a lot more Emojis and they seem to help to put a "tone" to people's posts.
So if there is only two people you don't respect, besides me who else could that be? :joker:
