I am wondering if there are ways -maybe by the Moderators-to cut out the nonsense,personal attacks,insults and the repeatable major (many times unprovoked )disrespect ,which erode the value of this,otherwise would be very valuable Forum?

In my opinion, the only way to turn this fine forum around is to dump all "Off Topic" forums and keep this an outdoor related forum where we share outdoor related posts.
There are millions of forums out there where you can talk about Religion, Abortions, Politics and other topics that cause idiots to gather and slap each other.
The solution is an easy one - don't read Off Topic - I find it interesting that so many people have so many different views on subjects - I don't get mad at anyone - after all it is only a discussion - why do we want to limit or stop discussions -Quote:

That is exactly what the Ontario Fishing Community forum did in regard to political posts a couple of years back after things were going downhill big time. Still plenty of off topic threads for members looking for advice etc., but absolutely nothing political allowed anymore. I would say it's been a good success.Quote:
