White Canada goose?

it seems young, it is the same size as the other geese born this year, in that flock.

I'm going to guess domestic that somehow got in with these molting geese(cant fly)

That goose beside him looks to have double bands! Mark him so you can get him in a few months hahaha

Looks like a colour variant, but a Canada. It doesn’t have the head of a domestic goose. You can see the cheek patch showing up whiter.

No I'm with songdog. Domestic just look at the legs, it would have to be a albino to have pink legs.

dam geese getting smart. Just wearing snow goose camo to get through the early goose season.

domestic got the orange bill/feet. the one in the Op looks more pink. maybe a cross?

I never got to see it's eyes to know if it is an albino or not. I am guessing it is not, the Canada goose pattern can be seen in slightly darker colors. When I first passed it, I thought domestic, but the geese here don't allow intruders into their parks. I will walk through the park again tomorrow, see if I can get a better picture. I do have some video of it, but it was hard enough uploading those pictures.

I just zoomed in on the original, you can clearly see the pattern on it's cheek, the feathers look imature as well, same as the other goslings in the video.

There are a few Domestic breeds that have shades of grey from dark grey to shadows patterns. Check the feet and bill.

As for intruders.....well you get lonely and well a friendly honk is a friendly honk..

There's a lot of inter breeding going on with waterfowl down here on Lake St Clair,/ Thames river, you can see it in the geese and ducks

You can also order Canada Geese from the Poultry suppliers also.

Yes, it is a Leucictic Canada Goose.

It's a Leucistic Canada. All birds lacking pigmentation don't have to be completely white (eg. albino); sometimes there is only a partial loss in pigmentation. In this case you can still see the colouring characteristics of a Canada goose in the head and face.
