I see the Remington 870s made the list...:)
Thanks for that post...informative look at what they selected to ban.
This is the complete list, a little easier to read;

Justin Trudeau applauded the ban on "assault rifles" that New Zealand enforced. He then announced a similar ban on "assault rifles". It took 18 pages for NZ to list the guns that are banned and the procedures for the buy back. Here's a few pages just to show you that this is not a ban on "assault rifles". This is a ban on some of the most common center-fire and rim-fire rifles and shotguns...the very kind that most of you reading this will have in your gun safe.

Wow they hate the weatherby
If you took that list with you to any gun show you’d get a kicking
Read the titles and it’s shotguns and rifles with 6+ rounds. Seems our laws are around the same.

There are actually quote a few pump guns that will take 6 rounds, for hunting they are plugged to 3 in Canada though and you can kiss good-bye to the Ruger 10/22, Remington Speedmaster ... and most tube fed 22s like the Cooeys etc. Note it isn't semi's only levers, pumps too

A few examples of firearms that exceed their round count are (but aren't necessarily on the list specifically *Not sure if they would be included)

If they count one in the chamber ... https://www.cabelas.ca/product/3965/...action-shotgun
The rifles unless specifically mentioned like the Ljungman seem to be 10+ to be prohibited.. for pump and lever only ... for now.
Like this one ... https://www.cabelas.ca/product/26212...r-action-rifle
BUT with
Rifle 11+ rounds
ALL Rimfire 22 -bolt action
ALL Rimfire 22 -semi-automatic
ALL Rimfire 22 -lever action
ALL Rimfire 22 -pump action
ALL Centerfire -lever action
ALL Centerfire -pump action
your Browning BL-22 is way over ... GONE https://www.cabelas.ca/product/448/b...r-action-rifle
Since we only know about the 75,000 ARs of the 250,000 they keep bragging about ..... and they won't say the rest ....who knows what and how many the reality is in Canada... ????
So #NOLibs2019 looks like the way to go for firearms .... and ethics .... and budgets .... and taxes ..... and openness .... and accountability ..... oh heck the Libs and NDP are just nuts! Better a boring sane PM anyday than PM silly socks.
Yep so many are in for a surprise when their favorite gun is taken away. There is 175 thousand guns that are not an AR list that will be taken away as I have said before .
Just think of all the guns they will stop selling probably close to 50 percent of the newer guns on the market will hit a ban list of some sort. Definitely alot of the 22,s that they are making now a days will be gone.
In the last decade lots of people have switched to a semi shot gun for birds . Well say good by to all them . All the liberal freeks are in for suprises when they actually come out with the facts of what guns they will banish.
The election is getting real dirty now life long NDP goers are switching up and voting libs to stop the conservative party. Dirty dirty plays .
My wife was going to vote ndp when I told her cons and libs are neck and neck and and that ndp people are trying to keep the cons out. . She then took the government test to see what party she bests sits in turns out she fits best with conservative party she hates turds boy That's 4 outa 5 on the blue from our place that's why we have a blue sign at the end of the road haha .

[COLOR=#000000]"Most of the firearms of the type used by the New Zealand shooter are restricted in Canada and cannot be used for hunting and pest control. A range-only gun is about as useless as mammaries on boar. I don't support a ban of them but won't get too fussed if it does happen. Nor will I get worked up with the typical gun nut crap about "police states" or "Fudds." YMMV. " - Badenoch
Sorry guys I couldn't resist quoting him. Wonder if he has any of the type of guns on the LIST?
You don't stop hunting because you grow old. You grow old because you stop hunting.

I have four guns, two pumps and two semis, that are named on the NZ list.
Your joy and anticipation of being able to smugly say "I told you so!" will however be short-lived as none of them have non-detachable magazines holding over 5 rounds. They are all legal in New Zealand.
Instead of depending on reality TV shows and the CSSA for your information you can go to the source:

Can a hunter still use a semi-automatic shotgun with six or more shots during the game bird season?
Semi-automatic shotguns are now prohibited firearms except for those with a non-detachable tubular magazine capable of holding no more than 5 cartridges.
Prohibited firearms cannot be used without an endorsement and permit.
Is a two cartridge magazine extender on the end of a three shot fixed tubular magazine still lawful for a semi-automatic or a pump action shotgun?
Yes, provided the magazine(s) cannot hold a total of more than five cartridges (commensurate with the firearm’s chamber size).
Can I use a semi-automatic shotgun with a tubular magazine capacity of five 3 ½" cartridges in light of the fact it could hold six 2 ¾" cartridges?
The magazine capacity is measured commensurate with the firearm’s chamber size. If the firearm is chambered for 3 ½ inch cartridges and is capable of holding no more than five of those cartridges, then it is not a prohibited firearm and can still be used with a standard firearms licence.
Would it be illegal to put six 2 ¾" cartridges into the above firearm?
You should use cartridges that the shotgun is chambered for. The intent of the changes to the Act is to restrict shotguns to five cartridges.
Would it be illegal to put five 2 ¾" cartridges into the above firearm in light of the fact it could hold another cartridge?
That is within the intent of the Act.
Can parts and accessories used with newly prohibited semi-automatic shotguns be removed from that gun and used with legal semi-automatic shotguns?
Not if the part is a prohibited part.
Can I use a pump-action shotgun?
Provided is not a pump action shotgun that:
Is capable of being used with a detachable magazine; or
Has a non-detachable tubular magazine capable of holding more than 5 rounds.
What instructions are being given to Police working with Fish and Game rangers on opening day?
We will be taking an educational approach to engaging with duck shooters and rangers.
Does the new law affect the shotgun ammunition I can use?
No
But Turdo said he would let the RCMP make the decisions ;)
I noticed! Given what I have spent on my Weatherbys, I could sell them all and not cover the first one I bought.
It's a scary list, I have quite a few on there that would have to be ........(you may assume the rest of that sentence)
