INUKSHUK

Is anyone bringing Inukshuk into southern ontario ? I would like to get on a group share and purchase a pallet to reduce cost. I have fed the 32/32 and although I know it may not be for everyone, it's amazing how much less feed the dogs require compared to Purina Pro Plan. Considering how much less volume one needs to feed as well as the price per bag when purchased by the pellet and the fact that it comes in 20kg/44lbs bags instead of 17kg/37.5lbs its a bargain compared to Proplan. In my opinion its a better product, the dog's coats have a shiner sheen and unlike Proplan you can put weight on a dog if they need it. One of the most common issues you hear about Proplan and one that I have personal experience with all my dogs, is that it's hard to put weight on a dog when you need to and when you increase their portions it just comes out the other end. LOL

They look like they would be hard on their teeth. About the only way it would put weight on a dog is if it fell on it.

I'd be interested in trying it on my dogs especially during the fall months. If you can put it together keep me in mind.

Sounds like you have been consuming too much Proplan and its coming out the wrong end !

I will. Spread the word out , they have it set up so that individuals can submit payment directly for their share of bags in a purchased pallet which is convenient and simplifies things.

It always amazes me how people feed their dogs “ cheap food”.

If you fed your kid low quality food they would get sick or be unhealthy. So same with a dog.

Save now with cheap food or pay later with a sick dog and vet bills.

How does one expect a dog to preform on low quality food I don’t understand.

Always amazes me how people get sucked into the Marketing and buy food (ie: like Blue Mountain) thinking they're doing so better for their dog becasue they are feeding them expensive food.

I think most dogs get fed too good. The number one health issue for dogs, by far, is obesity and related consequences. I rate dog food lower on the list in influencing top performance outcomes. First would be the amount and quality of training in the field. Second would be mental and physical health, yes feed can be a part of that, but I mean free from parasites, injury, and stimulated. Then I consider the individual dog regarding amount and type of food.

Dog food end of the line friends maybe bird food might be lower.

I checked the labeling on what I feed it has several types of grains. My hounds seem to live long, happy, healthy, lives. I don't feel horrible at all. I don't think grain is bad, just another food group.

A disclaimer, I keep beagles they supplement their own diets with anything you can imagine. For example, years ago I had a little male that specialized in digging up and eating white grubs, he had a good enough nose to pin point them 4 to 6 inches below ground. Some other anecdotes are pretty disgusting.

You probably be surprised that the same grains are ground up to make your Tim Horton's Donut/ Muffin you eat every morning ..HaHa..

As long as it has the 'Recommended by Veterinarian' label ...it's good to go

Did I mention any brand? I’m not buying into any brand or pushing any brand. I read ingredients.

It’s a known fact with everything. Cheap gives you low quality. It’s not rocket science.

At 7 yrs old he died of intestinal tumors. Can't say if the food was the fault but it goes to show no matter how well you feed them they can get sick and die.

A 32/32 P to F ratio is pretty potent. I wouldn’t commit to buying a large qty without testing it first. I’m feeding PPP sport right now.

I fell for the grain free boutique advertising expensive stuff. Dog had loose stools. Went back to the old reliable PPP sport 20/30 and everything is great again. Great health, excellent coat and hunts hard all day.

Some foods work well for one dog , but might not necessarily work out for another dog ... even if they are dogs out of the same litter, (my own experience anyway, no science based facts). Anyway, I currently feed my GSP Kirkland Salmon and Sweet potato, and it works great for her. She has a very sensitive stomach, and after trying many types of food (some which were quite pricey), I find this works best for her. I’ve actually heard good things from some bird dog pros regarding Inukshuk, (their dogs look like body builders lol) but I haven’t really researched it myself, so I can’t say for sure.
