Does anyone have one of these? I heard they are the most reliable.
Would the small GB70 be enough to turn over my Dodge 5.7 from a dead cold in minus 20 or do I need to go with the big 2000 amp?

I have the gb40 I’ve used it to boost boat batteries that chargers couldn’t detect because it was so dead. Also my 5.7L tundra batt was dead and tried to boost it with jumper cables and for some reason it wasn’t working so hooked up gb40 and it started no problem. But when I used it on the tundra it was in October so not -20.

OK so at minimum we know it will start the 5.7, they say it is rated for 6 liter.
I'm tempted to buy it as I have 140 in Canadian Tire money.
I could always leave the lights on my truck and purposely kill the battery than try and boost it. Only problem is if doesn't I will have to go borrow a charger as my charger broke sent it to a budy to repair.

I have the small one it’ll start backhoe started my dodge 6.7 Bet it would start 6 vehicles before need recharge if it’s kept warm
I would pick one up while it’s on sale. If you get the gb40 and try and test it and it doesn’t work you could return it for the gb70. But have someone on stand by to come help you start your truck if it doesn’t workQuote:

I picked up the gb70 a few years ago, it's amazing. I keep it in my car all the time now, my neighbors have used it, I've helped multiple people in parking lots boost cars too. It also has a handy little light, and can act as a phone charger if need be. It's worked in all weather for me. I've never had to jump my truck yet though. Mostly just sedans.

I also have helped more people than I have used it myself. Offers a little security. Works great on the boat as well.
They work well unless they are cold. That can be an issue if you leave them in the vehicle. I wouldn’t intentionally kill your truck battery. That will take a lot of life out of it

I don't drive the Jimmy anymore it's retired, replaced it with the Ram 1500. It's for sale or going for scrap in the spring when scrap prices are higher.
