Dealing with the boredom

Hi Guys,
How are you dealing with the boredom of being isolated. I am still working, but not at 100% capacity - there is only so much eLearning, and WebEx meetings you can handle in a day. My turkey gun is cleaned/lub'd and the vest is all set for the 25th, my spring cleaning is almost done, my man cave is re-organized, my dog gets x2 runs a day, and I am binge watching the following:

- The Walking Dead
- Ozark
- Jack Ryan
- Animal Kingdom (amazing series)
- Homeland

Anyone have any good books that are a MUST READ? My last good book, that was not work related, was Through Black Spruce by Boyden.

.... as for me... well continuing working changed to.... how do you apply for CERB... , gardening has been busy, also time to dust off some books until my son gets done his exams (studying in the office space in the basement, the couch has MY butt imprint for now (till I head out to garden) and the lap pad for laptops works real good) then cleaning up the work room, fly tying and some wood work and the weights/bag/archery target are down there too. History and flying there seems to be an abundance on the "to be read" pile, the new 3 on top are a history book by Robert Spencer and one on... the Mosquito... and the recent book by Michael Youssef, they are on the top.

I'll ask here first before I start a new thread.
My wife and myself had the usual fight today, I want to make the vegetable patch bigger and she likes grass..... in a 40'X60' back yard.... my veggie patch is about the size of the couch... (2 seater). Her lillies are twice the area, the veg patch was bigger but half went to golden raspberries (which she likes and i think they are good so not a complaint) and she "temporarily" replanted some flowers there 3 years ago (Iris's from my Grandfather's house)... and then she used 2 rolls of sod. I would say half of it is partial sun, 1/3 mostly shade even through the summer. Still reading...? I wanted to know what people plant for shade/partial sun vegetables, there are some youtubes and I have looked into Morel mushrooms for the complete shade part.

So anyone tried Morels, any growing/sourcing suggestions? Shade/Partial sun veggie suggestions?

I've been preparing a garden about 3x the size I've ever done, also reading some different books. Doing plenty of cleaning/ organizing.

Im still working 40 hours, not sure what I'll do if that stops. There's no option for recreation in my neck of the woods.

Potatoes should be in the ground now.

I grow lettuce[mesculine mix] and Swiss Chard [Bright lights] successfully in the shade as well as beans.

Lol, quite the difference between your garden and mine. If you want to come plant potatoes here bring dynamite! There's still a 4 foot snowbank where my potatoes go.

Potatoes.... good idea, before the flowers arrived they did good there but room for 3 or 4 plants at most ... lettuce and Chard ...then there is the next issue, before I sprinkled the hair (cat and mine, out of blood meal) on the tulips the rabbits already eliminated most of the tulips leaves, where the chicken wire around the roses fell over from snow, mostly tiny stumps ... I can put some of the chicken wire up around that small of an area easy so I may go with that. I can cut some in half and still have access and block the rabbits. I won't need the height since there is no snow piling up

Read "Last Centurion " by John Ringo.

For reading material, any Wilbur Smith is good if you like historical/geographical stuff. Usually about S.Africa or E.Africa as well as Europe, with many having an outdoors theme. Have reread more then 1 of his novels, and that is not something I do for very many authors. Always seem to learn at least 1 interesting survival/nature fact in every book.
Once you start a book, it is hard to put down, and luckily he has many novels out in print.

Projects. Inside and out. Most I have been intionally leaving “incomplete” for another day. These days procrastination is helping. There hasn’t been a day, where I dont have something to do. Where-as I am the type normally to put my chin down and “get it done”.

Some reading books, reading news, walks, meditation in the mornings.

Boob tube, we are making a conscious effort to stick with “normal routines”. We dont turn it on until after dinner. The odd movie, but mainly the same old routine. Watch an episode or two of the current series. A few we’ve been watching the past couple months and current.

Current: Ozarks season three.
Done and really enjoyed.
- Peaky Blinders (British)
- The Five (British)
- Succession (recently completed, very good for American series)
- Line of Duty ( Another British series...which are far superior to trite, veneer “Hollywood”)

Plan to watch next
- Scott and Bailey

Trim is up and mostly complete, bathroom overhaul now. Will be spending more time on the renos this week given the cooler weather.

Had been heading out fishing with my daughter up until mid last week but with the ice not being good any longer it's time to prep the bear bait. I haven't hunted spring bear in many years.

Now that she's got no fishing to contend with my old atv is going to get some much needed work. Brakes, front end bearings, all bushings, tie rods and a few new CV boots. She's got a bad wire or manifold boot I have to find as splashing through a creek the other day shut down one cylinder.

Education for the child, both book smarts and common sense. She's been helping out with everything I've been doing and she is super excited should bear hunting be a go.

Got my 1985 honda trike stripped down the the frame. Doing a bit of welding to footpeg area on the frame, Hopefully powder coat next week.

Got a bunch of parts stripped and powder coated this week.

Yeah its definitely something else. A big day for us we get to go pick up an order of groceries lol

Yard work when the winds are down only one more area to rake maybe another afternoon. Spring tidy is almost done in and out of the house. Set up an office school area for the younger one had to purchase a desk top as a tablet is not the greatest for it . Changed the oil in the car purchased new tires for the car waiting for them to come in . Making more grocery list as they are still a week or 2 out on orders.

Better start planning out May's food orders anyone know what they want on may 2nd lol. Wife will be gearing up for a chocolate fix then better add some chocolate to the order [emoji1787][emoji1787]

I work from home and have a home office but now my wife is working from home, my oldest is studying and finishing her final exams (Ottawa U), and my other daughter is completing her high school year on-line.
So needless to say we have set up a temp office in the baster bedroom, and one in the basement and the dining table serves as a flat surface to work on if required.

I have planted my hot pepper seeds (Ghost, Habanero, Chilli, and Scotch Bonnet), took the winter tires off all the cars, racked the lawns, now just waiting for it to warm up a bit.

Working on putting washroom in my shop. Wow my bodies getting old.

Got a lift in spirit today. My favourite garden nursery now has an "order on line and pick up outside" service. I went crazy! :)

You'll have to show us some pictures when you get it completed. I can't get over the way the prices are going up on these old trikes. Wish I would of bought up a few SX'S, X's or R's and put them away.
